@DAOWAce: I think I remember hearing that the PC version never had the online features.

@brn-dn: Taco Bell is one of my guilty pleasures too. It tastes so good and the Bacon Crunchwrap is one of my favorites.

I wish this game had more single player content. The training missions start out really cool and then prematurely end. Then there isn't a clear indication that the only substantial thing to do in the game is team deathmatch. You kind of just have to explore the menus to realize there are a bunch of micro-transactions to get points faster and a never ending grind to get some different ships. The ship to ship combat is pretty fun but repetitive.

6 out of 10, too much space :P

That's good that they're making it clear from the beginning that the there's a chance they won't ship on time.

@darthrevenx: Good for you, DarthRevenX. It's just like they say, "If you've got it, flaunt it."

@feathers632: I'm hoping you're right that VR sickness can be trained away. As someone who loves intense roller coasters and many things that cause disorientation, I'll admit that I've experienced a mild bit of nausea after some sessions with the Rift CV1. It's hard to say if the stomach irritation was caused by the Rift, or the excessive amounts of Kratom that I drank. When I play Eve: Valkyrie, the gameplay often devolves into spinning in circles as I chase an opponent. This happens both in multiplayer and the content lacking single player mode.

Overall, the nausea has only been very mild, and easy to overcome. Still, I can't help but associate that feeling with my Rift and that could be a much larger problem for others.

@Myron117: Glad to hear that. I was wondering why the textures and lighting looked so weak. After looking at the video again, I don't think there is any lighting or shadow here. It's like every texture is equally lit. I remember experimenting with that option back in 1999 when I was trying to make Unreal run on my poor PC.

@Navardo95: As a long time Castlevania fan, (the original was one of my first and favorite games on the NES) I enjoyed LoS1 as well. It's fascinating to me how such a linear game felt like an adventure to my young self back then. Dark Souls seems to be the only series that gives me a similar feeling anymore. Still, I think that it's very true when people bring up the fact that Lords of Shadow blatantly copied gameplay from other games. The battles where you climb on the boss to attack certain "weak points" was lifted straight from Shadow of the Colossus. That didn't make the game any less fun, but looking back, I'm a little bit surprised they got away with it.,

Edit: I'd say that the music and sound of Lords of Shadow copied the music and sound of God of War a bit too much for it's own good as well. Despite the game being enjoyable, I don't think of MercurySteam as a developer that's going to make a new experience. I think of them as a "me too" sort of artist that takes something innovative and tries to emulate it.
