@billzihang: I recall reading headlines that said it was free-to-play but maybe I misunderstood what that entails. Even the first sentence under the headline on this article says, "Free-to-play fighting game comes to PC tomorrow alongside the Season 3 update." Now I'm confused.... Is there a free-to-play version? Or is it, "pay-to-download but then play-for-free"?

I'm planning to try out the free PC version. Used to love the original KI on the SNES. I'm curious if you ever get tired of hearing "C-C-C-Combo Breaker!"

@JRLennis: Same here (though I didn't complete a couple of the highest level side quests). That sounds about like what I was saying though, because I'd estimate the FF12 main story was 50-60 hours if the player skipped all other side content. I suppose the side quests could be really time consuming in FF12 because of the low drop rate of certain items and chests to get the best weapons.

I'm expecting FFXV to have a lot of side quests because of the open world aspect of the game. Hopefully comparable to FF12, which is one of my favorites :)

@bobafetthatesu: I agree it's unfortunate. The only upside I saw someone mention recently is that when the game is released on PC it will benefit from all of the unnecessary (for console) bells and whistles while running at a smooth frame rate. That's assuming that they optimize it properly...

@xantufrog: And I'd expect it's comparable or a bit longer than FF12 including the side quests and extra content of both games.
