What CPU /MB are you guys going to pair with that R600 beast you are boasting about? My 4800X2 bottlenecked my 8800GTX (so is my 6600 C2D for that matter) so you must be planning for some MAJOR upgrades. Please advise, Im very curious. I cant wait till next month to see all of your pics of this card in action too.

Yes, use Nvidias NForce drivers, they are the newest ones. They usually dont show up on Asus's site till later. Just make sure they are Vista or use the ones Vista puts on your system for now. Download Creatives drivers too and Nvidias latest video drivers. You can install Vista right from the desktop too if you like. Just put the disc in with XP loaded.

I have the 32bit Vista.Had to reinstall afew things, but no big deal. For the CoD2 person, right click the start menu icon, run it in Windows XP mode, and turn AA to X2. Runs great.

[QUOTE="dtrem1"]Holy crap, you guys are like a gang now. LOL. I was being sarcastic, aaah nevermind. And by the way, those pics are FAKE. The guy even says he cant verify the source and it looks like a poorly modded card. Does Crossfire have bridges like SLI now? Im actually asking as I did not know this..LordEC911

Yeah, the CF links on the top of the card look weird in one of the pics.

Thanks. Sorry, not trying to flame, I was "debating" lol. Seems like its turning in to system wars in here is all.... My last build was a X1900XT with a 4800X2. I just go for performance. Seems like you and others just push "brands". Comparison would be like some specs leaking for the G90 coming out and I come on here telling all of you that this is the second coming of videocards. You really should wait for it to come out officially before declaring it the best. Nevermind, I must missing something or just getting cranky. No offense intended.

[QUOTE="dtrem1"]Uhhh ya, you missed the discussion we were having... Read back, you totally missed the discussion we were having..... If the R600 gives me another 30%+ better performance than my 8800GTX, I will for sure get one. Please stop quoting the Inquirer...OMG, its like the National Inquirer of PCs. When Anand shows benchmarks then lets talk then. You guys are jump on the hype bandwagon like a bunch of freakin sheep. Just like the marketing people want you to. Reminds me of the PS2 and PS3 launches, holy crap. Does ATI give you commissions?LordEC911

No, I thought I hit reply rather then quote, I didn't mean to quote you... I was in a hurry to go play poker.

It isn't hype, it is a break down of the paper specs, nothing more or less.
You can call it hype if you want, but that doesn't mean it is.

I can also quote the Inq, since they are pretty much posting the same info I have heard from my source.
So keep talking...

This is still going?

Oh YA, I forgot about your "source".

Sorry, for sure you are correct in saying these are "official" and final specs and not just "hype".

Can you please explain what all this quoted information means in layman terms too? Like the memory bandwidth and all those shaders at different clock speeds. Real gaming performance details would be awesome. Ie FPS vs resolutions vs actual games etc. Your source must have this available. Being that none of this is hype...

It is hilarious when people on here argue about hardware that is not even out yet and claiming its superiority. When it does come out neither of you will even own it anyways, so no, you STFU.
