I am hoping someone can help here... My specs are in my sig.

I have a Q6600 B3 and for some bizarre reason I can not get this system to boot at over 2.7. I have tryed Auto vs manually increasing voltages (1.58 cpu core, 1.5 FSB, 2.3 memory, 1.5v nforce) and still no boot. I have also used linked(synced)/ unlinked RAM etc etc. As soon as I go over 2.693 it wont even start up. My fans are all at max too.

I thought this chip can easily hit 3ghz. Any suggestions?

Ya the games mostlyrun fine. 64 bit Vista has a separate folder for the x86 files.

I had to make my system a dual boot to include 32 bit Vista, so I can use i-tunes, so beware some stuff doesnt work...

How did you preload it before buying it?? I had to pay first, just curious... I picked Steam cause its nice to have it ready to go as soon as released and it is a bit cheaper (here in Canada anyways..) Also, you will always have it in your Steam games and dont have to worry about cds and keys etc etc. Patches are usually handled well too. Does anyone have link to where it says it not releasing to 4pm, i did not know that...

[QUOTE="dtrem1"]Hate to ask but, why the hell do you want 8gbs of RAM??? Upgrade your CPU if you have that much money to burn, LOL.Taijiquan

I don't.  Imagine buying a car not capable of doing the speed limit when it is advertised as so.  I was simply verifying the fact that this board does not roll at DDR 800 when all slots were full.  It is just kind of hard to swallow due to being loyal to Asus for so long.  Look on ASUS messege boards of all the people with problems running 4 gig.  Really surprised someone hasn't started a class action law suit.  As far as upgrading CPU?  I can hit 3.6 with this chip.  Is there one better?  ;)

Ummm, a QX6700 or X6800.... Actually mine even for that matter. The day I need like a grand worth of RAM alone to play games is the day I quit PC gaming, LOL. I know you say its for "graphics design" or whatever but this is a gaming web site. Asus is usually pretty decent, they probally will have a BIOS update to fix that. Maybe its even Intels problem. Cant say Ive heard of anyone with 8GBs of RAM to even check with.

lol Those quads and your E6600 stock is not going to beat my CPU at 3.6 ghz.  Because your interpreting skills are not first class, I tested 8 gigs to verify the board is infact defective.  My friend that is into PC, owns a hardware store.  This is a PC Hardware forum.  I have used Asus for years and understand about as much as anyone that they are infact pretty decent.  I have owned this board for 5+ months.  A bios fix isn't coming.  Give Kara a call (bios dept.), or rather talk to Chris (502)271-6975 from their engineering dept.

Maybe its Intels problem?  All sticks ProMos or Micron9 scream on P5N32-E.

Look at this,    This ram $86.00 for 2x1 gigs.  The P5N-E is a flawed board.  Period.

Actually my "interpreting" skills are quite intact. LOL. A QX6700 or X6800 and my 6600 can all be OVERCLOCKED past yours. Lets do a proper comparison now.  And the QX has 4 cores. That would make them better than yours. Geeeez, and your refer to my interpreting skills, OMG. You are the one who said "Is there any better". Dont lash out at us because you bought a POS motherboard, the rest of us with lowly interpreting skills actually made proper buying decisions.
