So as you can tell, I like Streetlight Manifesto. Like, as much as Resident Evil. They've been very indie for quite some time. Actually, all the time. I'm so excited because they had their first live TV performance on some random TV show that airs at 1.30 am on Sunday nights (so I guess 1.30 am on Monday mornings?). This is that live performance. I was stunned. It's not the best but the tenor sax solo is incredible and it's really funny how their frontman keeps forgetting lines and getting really nervous. They're really fun to watch and their energy is infectious. Enclosed in this here blog is a link to both their music video which is awesome and a link to their live TV performance which is awesome. Enjoy! (No Streetlight hate here, you will be smited by the awesome power of Tomas Kalnoky)

*Edit*: My sources (namely the giant message when I tried to view Nicholai69's page) tell me that Nicholai69 was banned. This kind of upsets me. I can't see why he was banned because the profile is down. I can't contact the mods because I'm not Nicholai. I can't ask Nicholai because Nicholai is banned. I'm starting to confuse myself but if someone could either reply with why Nicholai was banned or PM me, that'd be fantastic. Why, GS, why?
(Tomas Kalnoky, singer/songwriter/guitarist for Streetlight Manifesto. Probably the only photo of him without his green hat on)
Other than learning Thunderbolt, I'm pretty much the same person.
I was watching the Awesome series again by Egoraptor and I felt like making some TF2 sprays. There are the two I made from Awesome Center Redux. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0gIL-yIF6Q&feature=related
Enjoy!
The equation of death has been solved.
** WARNING! MATHS AHEAD CLOSE YOUR EYES IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR HEAD TO EXPLODE **
The way I had the equation set up, I was solving for the conversion of the reaction. This meant that I had to multiply the extent of reaction by the flow rate of the methane in the system, which was 1600 kmol/hour, and using the 3:1 flow ratio of methane and water I was able to solve for both conversions.
**OPEN YOUR EYES NOW**
X1=1472 so the conversion is 1472/1600 which is0.86
X2=128 This is actually only part of the actual answer; to solve for the conversion of this, you need to do this: (1472-128 )/1600 which is 0.7225
So I get a cookie. Which is a good thing since I haven't eaten since 8.30 and it's 4.20. Heh, 420.
(Not my actual cookie but it seemed fitting. I have oatmeal rasin. Om, nom, nom.)
((t/(6400+2*x))((3*x+t)/(6400+2*x)))(15.8^2)/((x-t)/(6400+2*x))((4800-x-t)/(6400+2*x))=574.4
and
((x-t/(6400+2*x))((3*x+t)/(6400+2*x)))(15.8^2)/((1600-x)/(6400+2*x))((4800-x-t)/(6400+2*x))=0.262
Solve for x and t. I need help.
Let me start off with the good news. I bought an album, a game, and a frappe on Saturday. They were, in order, "Pay Attention" by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Dead Rising, and a combination of chocolate and vanilla. First off, the album is fantastic. It's a bit of a departure from traditional Bosstones material; they seem to have taken a break from the hardcore punk to more of an alternative and I really like the music. Some of the songs kind of depress me but I can't stop listening to them. Secondly, Dead Rising. It's exactly what I needed. I spent all weekend beating the snot out of zombies. I've died about a metric billion times, as well. I've died on every boss fight so far with the exception of the psychotic grocery store owner who I used a shotgun on and killed, and the family of snipers who i ran away from since I was escorting 8 people at once. Half of them died. And finally, the frappe. It cost me $4.27 and lasted about that long. It was delicious.
Weekend in review:
"Pay Attention" -Mighty Mighty Bosstones: $7.99
Dead Rising: $19.99
Frappe: $4.27
Laundry: $4.00
On a side note, I saw 28 Weeks Later. The movie was kind of lame. The ending was the worst part. The last 2 minutes were completely unnecessary and the last 5 minutes (of what I'm calling "The Movie") were really confusing with someone being beaten to death with a gun with a night vision scope and I couldn't tell what was going on. The rest of the movie was entertaining but the ending took so much away from the movie. On a scale from 1 (Napoleon Dynamite/Master of Disguise) to 10 (The Usual Suspects, Shawshank Redemption, Silence of the Lambs) it falls somewhere...there. I have no idea. It was "meh".
While on this slight tangent...in Dead Rising, Otis is the single most annoying character to ever be created for any game EVER. He won't shut up. And I can't read what he's saying because my TV is from 1988. Game's a blast, though. Favorite weapons have got to be the shotgun, excavator, katana, and the soccer ball.
Now, my week will suck. There have been things going on outside of school work that are making life very difficult. They're not the kind of things that I'd like to be having trouble with, especially these days. This week I have a case study for my Chemical Engineering degree that's going to take up about 90% of my free time, various tests and quizzes this week, a Lab Report due next Monday, two programs due by Wednesday, and a basket full of laundry to sort. There will be very little gaming done this week. Can't wait for this to be over.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 again. And Source Mods. Games just bore me now. I guess in my fickle old age I have no patience with waiting for new games. Plus, clourses are kicking me around like...something that would kick me around painfully. I overplayed RE5 so much that I can't even put the disc back in the tray; I don't want to have the same thing happen to Bioshock so I'm not playing that right now. My Physical Chemistry professor sent me an email telling me I was failing and if I didn't pass the next assignments with a decent grade, I'd be taking it again. I managed to get it up in the next 3 minutes with magic and cleverly timed TA's handing in my latest lab report with a good grade...63% in the coursenow...and struggling to hold on. Plus, life is finally catching up to me between 2 years of sleep deprivation and hyperactivity after 10pm. Really, the only things keeping me going are the 180-pack of Twizzlers, the 12 or so albums from Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and whatnot that I listen to almost constantly, and online gaming. I can't find a summer job and I'll likely get a big-ass trashbag and go into the woods in my back yard (about 550 acres of forest) and pick up trash. Plus, everything that I didn't do in high school is coming back to haunt me now in college. Fun times. Wish me luck. More later.
* I guess I should clarify as there may be some confusion as to my age. I am, in fact, not what you would call "old", despite my nearly perfect usage of semi-colons. I was born a mere 20ish years ago in a small city in New Hampshire called Nashua in 1989. I cleverly used an "old person" joke for comedic effect, as well as my running gag of semi-colon usage jokes.
So I guess I broke 1K posts...only took me 5 years this November...
Anyway, what's new? I have nothing to talk about. Bioshock is pretty tough on hard. So is Call of Duty 2.
