How to optimally survive a MW2 multiplayer match

Wow, guys, I've been playing this game a lot. I played over 16h and I'm level 32 and I can't stop playing it! Anyway, I'll write this article from my own experience.

Here are the tips:

1.Be what you like: You have to choose what suits you the best(e.g I like machine guns). Going into the fight with a weapon you don't like it's like suiciding.

2.Don't camp! Camping isn't "illegal" on a server, but it will severely damage your skills, and you may find yourself that in an open battle(close-quarter) you suck!

3.Don't wait for cheaters!: There are cheaters here and there, but you just can't stand and watch them cheating. Report them IMMEDIATLY to the admin of the server, if not, leave the server and join another.

4. Choose the right weapon for the right map: It may sound like a "Oh, I've heard this before/I know)" but for instance you can't go on the Rust map with a sniper rifle, because it isn't made for sniping.

5.Be prepared to melee: You just don't know exactly when an enemy is right on the next corner. If you bump with him, don't hesitate to blade him. This guarantees an instant kill

6.Make sure you're not followed!: Sometimes, a player sees you and follows you, just to blade you. To avoid this situation, I, personally, run and hide into a building or a big object where can I crouch, and then wait for the enemy to follow me(if there's anyone) and then shoot him. Also, a quick look back can save your life.

And that pretty much sums up an average match of MW2. Hope you enjoyed the article, and most importantly, your day :)

The display is finally here!!!

I'm very excited. So, I got this LG Flatron W2243T which is really really sweet. It has a VGA and a DVI port( went with the DVI, because VGA kinda sucks) and it supports HD(1920x1080) rezolution. Also it's 21,5" wide and for now I'm very very satisfied with it. Have a nice day, and enjoy your display because I sure will

New display!

Well, I'm stuck with my good ol' CRT display(Samsung SyncMaster 793DF). In 2004 when I bought my first pc, it was something. Now it's getting kind crappy, and I don't necesarilly mean the quality of the color. Grey stripes pop out from nowhere, and it's big size annoys me. Since my PC it's decent it would be a shame not having a new display as well. I've got a pretty big budget(around 300$) and I'm looking for a HD display. I've already put my eyes on a Samsung SyncMaster 2233SN(google it), but yeah, that won't be the final buy. I'm planning to buy it in almost 3-4 days, and I'm so anxious. On winter season(namely Christmas) I'm planning to buy the awesome HD5770(along with a new PSU so it would support it). HD5770 can play most of the games on 1920x1080(without anti-aliasing, only high/very-high). An HD monitor+HD 5770=AWESOMENESS. Well, that's pretty much all, have a great day guys ;)

Almost the end of the summer time....

The atmosphere is getting sick all over around me, to be honest! It's less than a month 'till the school time begins and yes I'm really sad and kinda frustrated, because the time went by me so freaking fast :O . Not only these, but actually, this is my worst summer ever, why? Because 2 quarters of it, it was raining, that meaning june and july. Now, ironically, the average temperature is beyond 35 degrees celsius and over 100 people died from intense heat... anyway. I.. just feel so sick because it's ending. The good part will be that during the school time MANY games will be launched (CoD: Black Ops, Crysis 2 and many more) and I hope I'll be fine through it. Summer was such a poor season for gaming, wasn't it :( ?

Windows 7 vs. Windows XP final battle

I experienced with the both of the aformentioned OSs. So I'll do this from my own experience not based on the internet or external sources.

Windows 7.

Pro:

-slick, fantastic design and friendly interface

-low on resources ( Way better than Vista which is a monster)

-Faster booting times than in XP(seriously)

-Incredibly high potential for tweaking(I tried this, by doing stuff like editing registries or from msconfig and much much more)

-Ultimately, a lot more better than Vista(which was a totaly disaster)

Contras:

-Though better than Vista, it still feels like a rehash(mostly)

-Some incompatibilites with certain PC components

-Unstable on some machines(from what I've heard the perecentage is 10% so it's not alarmating)

-Takes a lot of time to get rid of some annoyances and tweak it(e.g: UAC which is a pain in the ass and more)

Windows XP

Pros:

-Very user friendly interface

-Most stable Windows available

-Very, very low on resources

-Performant( I mean the way it works, the fast boot times and smooth experience all in all :) )

-Now, it's very cheap and affordable

Contras:

-Even at the time when it was released the visual appearence was very ugly

-Low potential of tweaking(compared to win 7)

-It crashes pretty often(Blue screen of death)

The winner: Windows 7

Why?

It is a step forward the future, both visually and technically. Once with the release of a service pack, windows 7 will be as avery bit as good as it should be. Overall, Win 7 is better than XP, altough the diference is pretty small.

Your typing speed!!

Curious about how fast you type? Well, I found an awesome typing speed test and the link to it is : http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ . I scored 60 words/minute, but I took the test in my language(romanian). The link above is the english version. Here you should post your results and eventually(only if you want) send an imageshack link so I can see.

("Eu scriu 60 cuvinte pe minut means in english I type 60 words per minute :D)

Almost 1000 views O: !!!!

I looked on the "about me" topic and I was blown away. I currently got 891 views, almost 1000 ^_^

I am very very surprisesd because I've seen a lot gamespoters who are on gs for about 5 years and got smaller views than me (no offense meant) :D:D:D

Finished Dragon Age: Origins....and I am sad....

According to the game stats I've completed Dragon Age: Origins in 70 hours of gameplay. I finished with a level 20 warrior and I am still shocked that the time spent with Dragon Age felt so freakin' short. Anyawy, even if it wasn't entirely open-ended it was an absouletly blast to play though I feel an urge to go play it again and complete every side quest I didn't do. Along the way I've taken part in epic battles and even more epic events. This is certainly a must-have for anyone and if i didn't convince you here's my personal review :D :D :D : http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonage/player_review.html?id=726288&tag=all-about%3Breview1

Ugh!!What a crappy weather!:'-(

Summer is the time when the sun should warm our roofs and us,generally...but not here :(:(:(.For a week or so,it rained(with storms too causing blackouts,i still wonder how my pc didn't burn or something).Yesterday, for instance it rained so hard that the water "invaded" my yard, the layer being about 5-6 cm thick(the water i mean). When all this will stop, and you can't say that "The day is warm and the night is raining"NO!In the daytime is about 18-20 degrees cold and though it's manageable to stay with a t-shirt and a pair of shorts it's clearly that THIS ISN'T SUMMER!:'-(.The weather outside makes me think of september....
