Whenever I see a review that essentially says, "Great gameplay; terrible story," all I see is "Great gameplay," because that's what I play games for. If I want a good story, I'll read a book.
@dzimm: Duping in Diablo 2 was done by exploiting timing in the remote servers, not because of local multiplayer.
Right, and how do you think they figured out that timing and other exploits? It's because the server code was installed on their computers for them to study.
Diablo II multiplayer was a cheat-fest even on the more secure "closed" Battle.net because in order to facilitate local multiplayer, the server code was installed on user's computers making it trivial for "hackers" to study it for exploits. I assume that's why the TCP/IP feature is being removed from this remaster.
I've said before that playing Batman is easy: just put someone in a Batman costume, teach him some fight chorography, and you have Batman. The real challenge is playing Bruce Wayne, and so far, Michael Keaton is the only actor to really pull it off, playing Wayne as a guy who is simultaneously suave and unhinged.
