@blissrevisited: Why did he have to say anything at all? Does anybody really care? Seems the only reason for his post is 1) to draw attention to himself; and 2) disparage a game that is currently the darling of the industry and which he had no involvement with making.
@treechopper88:Yes, the praise for this game has been near universal with many of the most well-known and influential publications awarding it their highest rating. Whether or not those reviews are legitimate is another matter, but I'm sure that rationalization provides little solace for an ego maniac like Hideo Kojima.
If other reviews are correct then a 10 seems a bit generous. Most commonly reported flaws: brain-dead NPC AI; small selection of weapons and powers; lots of ideas that never really seem to gel into anything special; game can become monotonous as you're essentially doing the same things over and over again trying to create the perfect speed run.
Biggest question is how to make a compelling game with a virtually indestructible hero, unless you add a MacGuffin that makes him vulnerable, but then at point, what's the point of playing Wolverine?
I really liked Andrew Garfield's take on Spider Man and am disappointed he didn't get to do more movies. Seeing him in the Spidey suit again would be great.
