Many actually. last gen (gen 7) we saw a great amount of quality AAA games. People bitch about big budget games all the time, but when done right, they push quality and standards for everyone else. RE5 was shit, yet the game was better that a lot of other types of games you saw the gen previous to it (Gen 6). And the best examples, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect Series, Souls, Battlefield, COD (Yes COD), Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Forza series, DE Human Revolution, Far Cry 3, Dragon Age, RDR, Batman games, The Last Of Us, Portal and others push gaming tech forward.

What gen 7 lacked in variety and innovation it more than made it up in quality. Gen 8 seems to be an extension of that. And judging by what we've seen of games like the Witcher 3 and other upcoming games we can assume Gen 8 will expand the level of quality forward.

I recently saw the extended Uncharted 4 gameplay walkthrough and it definitely looked like more uncharted for sure. But the level of polish, art, and technical prowess is freaking awesome. From the facial animations to the smooth character animations, the cinematic camera angles that giving the illusion of having part in an action movie, the way the AK-47 animates when Drake shoots. People can't deny it looks fantastic. It'll be the ultimate Uncharted experience if you enjoyed Uncaharted 2 at all.

Yes I recently replayed GOW3 and I think overall it's an awesome experience. People always bitch about the combat in God of war 3, but I don't see anything wrong with it. If people can put up with shit like dynasty warriors, GOW shouldn't be a problem. When it comes to pure action, after the likes of DMC, Ninja Gainden, boyenetta, and the like, GOW is still great and fun to play around with. The actual pacing of game events, level design, and art-style/presentation are not bad at all. The story is bullshit and stupid and chessy but fun to play. And the over the top presentation will keep you entertained if everything else fails you. So yeah why not.

People need to get over themselves. We haven't seen a single beep of the game and people are already hating. Yes mass effect 's ending made people bitch and moan. Yes inquisition went casual in many aspects but it was still an overall great game with epic storytelling. I know it's easy to act jaded here but let's at least wait for the official announcements and footage

Many Japanese games have awesome battle tracks. My favorite is one winged angel while fighting sephiroth. Epic. Overall soundtracks I like the mass effect 1 ost and the final fantasy osts in general. As well as Castlevania series and kingdom hearts games. Special mention to persona and fire emblem as well.

1) Elder scrolls. I find them a bit dull overall, but when a new one releases I'm there day one to dive into them.

2) Bioware games in general in the old days or present time. Day one

3) Castlevania

4) Fire Emblem

5)Zelda always day one

6) Metroid any type of Metroid

One and two are in order the rest are not.

Exciting times. This will be like the jump from ps2 quality games to half life 2 during gen 6. Hope ps5 and X2 fully use dx 12, mantle to the fullest potential next gen ( but that's a long way

@Lulu_Lulu: who's alt are you? For someone who doesn't have time for games unless they hold your hand at all times you sure like to talk a lot of shit about games to start flame wars hers. You are either a troll with an alt or a mentally ill person person who doesn't enjoy gaming but for some reason loves to talk shit about things he/she clearly lacks knowledge and experience of.

New games now are mostly action focus trying to keep end users engaged all the time on action because they think its the best way to keep people engaged. To me though it seems devs are afraid to free their games for more world exploration and experiences and interaction with the game world and that's limiting the overall experience. The Witcher 3, If it manages to deliver the hype, will be a game changer in the industry. The way it's shaping up, it has a sandbox like feel like a Rockstar game combined with rpg and hack & slash tropes and cinematic centric storyteling. Very ambitious to say the least. What's annoying though is that cd project is a small and poor team compared to most big publishers and you can feel the love craft coming from that game even if rpgs are not your thing. Why can't all big devs be that excited to make the best efforts a reality?
