give us a good solid RPG based around the time of human's first contact with extraterrestrial life and their introduction to the rest of the Mass Effect species.
@sdzald: i'd have to agree with a lot of the points but i think this is more like having Keanu Reeves play Malcolm X. at least Tom Cruise can evoke some kind of emotion in certain situations. Roland's character is descended from a certain bloodline, from a certain family in their world. which meant he had a certain skin color. the fact that most people can't get enough into a story for things like this to have any merit, just means that fast moving pictures with bright lights are all it takes for most of them to enjoy something. and i have seen Elba in a few roles and he has never been able to carry a role or even a scene that i have ever watched. he has the same facial expression and the same inflection in his voice no matter what the scenario.
@beantownsean: this is a totally new architecture, you would not/could not use these in the AM3+ systems you are mentioning so i think you are mistaken on what Ryzen is.
this IS exactly what you were talking about. they have moved on from the AM chipsets and FX lines. and considering it being more powerful than the 8 core x99s, it is a HUGE step up from FX and still a step up from anything at all available in the current desktop market from AMD or Intel.
@lillybilly: and your issue will remain indefinitely if you do not actually research and study reviews and benchmarks to see what exactly you need to reach the performance you require. then price compare at major sites and stores. that is one of the major factors that is appealing to lazier people about consoles.
the decision on the final purchase should be the easier part; whatever fits your decided budget and still offers the horsepower for your screen resolution and target frame rate.
TomsHardware.com is a great place to start if you wish to start learning.
@cmyork: also got the 3 for less than $40 through GOG a couple months ago. were still sold separately but with a discount when purchased on the same ticket.
it's up to the developer to make the "change" to open world work of course. if you take simple close-quarters and/or games based on-rails and just drop them into a large open-world scenario, 99 out of 100 times it will just ruin the original confined space game design and end up with a bad free-roam design.
i can't think of any on-rails or small corridor game that even compares to the good open-world designed games though
when it's done correctly; open-world scenarios add a lot to the stories, the environments, and the gameplay options and are generally better games.
