@TheAgingGamer I don't think the reference is so much about time between franchises as it is on how to reinvent it with each iteration. If it remains dormant all we can get is a graphical update or so, but MK has been trying so many things since MKDD, it is sure the franchise is not "dormant".
Who else could review a great game and not understand it as Carolyn? She likes to bash or is she simply disconnected of anything but thrilling action games? A real excuse for a review...
@The_Beanster @OuTLaWzGamer The same exact applies to almost every franchise and you're not complaining. If you look at Metroid or even Mario and think those are the same as 25 years ago you may find a familiar structure but a whole new approach, ideas, mechanics and more, which, in turn, are usually imitated by others.
@corrus "real graphic"? What does that means? You still don't realize that videogames, as an art form, are not restricted to "real graphic" at all. It depends in much more and, if you think that graphics alone sell a console, you're way off of reality as this is one of the main points proved by PS3 and PS Vita over the last and current gen. Even the PS2 sell more than any other console with the lower quality graphics of that gen, sames as DSi vs PSP.
@Suikogaiden Agree. Online features are just a checklist of what the game has or not, but the actual game is good enough with the solo campaign. What I do agree is that, controlling camera, is a real chore that may take some time getting used to.
