That's one very pretentious restaurant if they feel they can charge $12 for a water. Also, anyone else remember when that site used to be... different?Doctor-McNinja
my previous 4850 with the after market cooler was from MSI. newegg doesnt sell them anymore but the model was R4850. it was SILENT and i could run the fan speed at 40%. try looking on google products.
A console is just a low/middle end PC with a different controller. The only thing I like about consoles is that they are closed platforms. Thats the only way they succeed.
Try some other games first. It could be the ATI drivers since the 5850 is new.
I have a Gtx 295 and I get screen tearing for the Left 4 Dead 2 demo but not L4D1. Ive tried every possible combination of settings. Crysis is smooth as silk when I am getting ~60 fps.
Next time you want to buy a QUALITY monitor make sure its not a TN panel.
I own a T260HD and I am also not too happy with the quality compared to my 19" Viewsonic. I am however very happy with the price I payed for it. $350 for a 26" 1920x1200 monitor thats sufficient for gaming. A 26" IPS panel monitor would cost something like $500-600.
I love this monitor because its so damn big and cheap. You get what you pay for. I suggest you keep that T240HD. I know the whites and blacks arent the best but you can spend the money on something else.
i bought a brand new 4850 for $50 from Craigslist. it doesnt have the after market cooler and overheats and causes my computer to freeze. my previous computer with a 4850 that had an after market cooler ran FLAWLESSLY.
it could be my video card only. thats probably why the **** sold it to me for that price.
