thanks for that. im upgrading soon to 6mb but still, how much of my connection does killzone 2 or games in general really use? i top at 160kb/s downloading but im supposed to be getting 1.3mb/s. so upgrading to 6mb isnt going to matter right?

also, ive tried wired and wireless. no good. i also tried changing my time zone settings in killzone 2. i tried pacific, central and east. the same servers show up no matter what time zone i choose, so basically players from all over the nation are being mixed and matched. i do not lag in any other online PS3 game and I get great ping in all my PC games. killzone 2 is really the only game im experiencing this lag. i highly doubt its my internet connection, even though its the lowest speed offered by my provider.

Heres another thread that proves Im not the only one having this problem.

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=killzone2&thread.id=301090&view=by_date_ascending&page=2

The guy on the second page named "Whaeva" perfectly explains the problem I am having and the problems I had before the High Precision (deadzone fix) patch. Its not anyones connection. Its the servers. This probably occurs in different areas because so many people are replying with a negative. Or maybe they just havent played the damn game to verify that they dont have the lag.

if you like a post-apocalyptic setting the buy it.

if you dont like traveling the sewers and subway fighting goblins and bandits and bugs who chase after then dont. you will feel very lonely playing Fallout 3.

if you want a Fallout 3 type game without the post apocalyptic setting and depressing mood it puts you in, then buy Oblivion. its a great game with lots of NPC interaction. the game will last you MUCH longer than Fallout 3 will. its made by the same developer if you dont already know.

I actually cannot believe people who are boycotting valve... All they do is produce quality games, usually sell them at dirt cheap prices and then have them on steam where they get sold for a fraction of a dirt cheap price... Cmon, they can't always offer 5 games in 1 for $30 (orange box) and keep on running.mr_so_evil

youre right, all their games are of quality but another left 4 dead? so soon? what a way to milk their customers. valves been known to make their products last. i think they just saw a potential to make some quick cash with the success of left 4 dead 1.

Maybe I'm missing the feel for it but after trying High Precision mode I really wasn't able to see much, if any difference.

I have little over 75 hours online with the game and I wasn't able to notice difference between the two options, either way - I just switched the mode off and went back to the original setting. ;)

Sokol4ever

youre joking. try moving the analog stick as little as you can with HP turned off. then try doing that on.

you wont believe how many people started playing this game after the high precision patch. its actually kind of scary.

for a while, i would only see 10-15 servers MAX. now the list just goes on and on and on.

its still stupid how they didnt have that before the patch. whats even more stupid is how people think it creates realism. this only makes sniping harder and aiming overall harder.

I know exactly how you feel, but some people like the game because of this. The environment made me stop playing the game. It was so lonely and quiet. And out of nowhere, bandits and creatures would attack me. And I hated the mission that required me to go into the market with a bunch of bandits hanging out inside and find samples of food for that ladys journal. It was fun, but it wasnt a situation I wanted to be in.

I prefer Oblivion. Meeting the drug dealer behind the house at night to buy some Skooma. Dropping the moose head on the guy when he sits in his reading chair. Fallout 3 makes you feel like its just you against the world. Oblivion made you feel part of something.

Going through sewers and fighting goblins and giant rats or crabs, getting shot at by bandits hiding in an abandoned school, retrieving food in a supermarket while staying out of sight, and traveling a post-apocalypic place full of creatures isnt my thing.

play the demo. doesnt take that long to install.

doesnt even seem like a rent to me. unless you absolutely have to play the Red Faction 2 sequel, then forget about it. gaming is all about graphics nowadays and the graphics of that game are very last gen. the gameplay is not original and there arent any good effects. the only good thing i saw in the game was the destructable environments but that wasnt even enjoyable due to the lack of impact and cheap animations. the game will literally take you back to the days of the PS2.
