Why bother arguing? Its common knowledge that COD4 is meant to be played on consoles. My guess is, youve never played COD4 on consoles, so you have no idea what voice chatting is really like.

I'm more interested in this demo being out for people to play more than any single opinion of it, TBH. Windsquid, where on earth did you get to play it? Also, you mentioned in an earlier post that it was a demo of the Final Build of the game.... how do you know? Were there representatives giving out these details? Or some literature, perhaps?

Are you saying they had to sacrafice time to make those 3D trees? Or hardware resources to render the 3D trees and cars?

Its not hard to model 3D trees and put them in a repeating order. The fact that they didnt do it means that the engine cant handle it. And understand that Kazunori Yamauchi cares a lot about detail and perfection.

You know what 1000 BEAUTIFUL cars and UGLY 2D trees means? Inconsistency. A man like Kazunori Yamauchi wouldnt want any inconsistency. But he had no choice. You saying they simply dont care about 2D/3D trees because its the racing that matters? Please.

Everything in the game looks so damn good. Everything except repeating trees. It seems a lot easier to model 10 different 3D trees and randomize the order than to model 1 car.
