Master of the Contributions (that's 2000 subs)

Made 180 submissions yesterday and it paid off. I'm now a Master of the Contributions and I've got the emblem to prove it. This is one of those emblems that people can be proud off, because they actually require work, rather than just clicking and voting (though those look nice too ;) )

The levels had better run today, or I'm gonna cry ;)

Level 24 - 8 %

P.s. I don't even want to consider the next sub emblem. 5000 ! ! !

127 % Level increase, i.e. a new level

I went from level 22 - 80% and skipped level 23 to become level 24 - 7% YAY :D

As posted in the forums, possibly still a bit low for the number of subs, but I am NOT complaining. I'm just glad all the work was not in vain :D

Let's hope it's a sign of things to come, everyone getting their points and percentages and a daily update that works :D

Oh, this means I'm now a Golden Girl

4 (Four) New Editorships and a New TC

Well, despite a minimal level increase :( I did get 4 long overdue person editorships :)

In order of celebrity status:

1: Mark Wakeling

He played Captain Mark Ryan in Primeval

2: Michael Manasseri

Nowadays he's a successful producer, but this picture is from the time he starred in Weird Science, guess who's the editor of that show ;)

3: Alec Newman

Alec Newman

Here shown in what is probably his most famous role, Paul Atreides in Dune.

4: Kerr Smith

Kerr Smith

He's starred in Dawson's Creek and Charmed, to mention the two most famous ones.

Finally, the gracious Formulakaz made me a TC for this Oscar-winning actress:

Halle Berry

That's Halle Berry, shown here in her outfit from Die Another Day.

New level and new TC

Wow, I went from level 21 - 53 % to level 22 - 58 %.

At first I didn't even notice, I thought the few percents were all, then I realised it meant an entire level :D

A very kind 'retired' editor :D made me a TC for Kerr Smith

but I'm hoping to become editor soon.

My trip to Hamburg was great, fabulous weather and plenty of things to see, including a trip round the harbour :D

Hamburg, here I come

The kind people at work :o have organised a small outing, so I'll be offline for two days. Tomorrow morning, at 7.15, we're leaving for Hamburg, by bus  but it beats working :D

On average, I get less than one submission per month, so I don't expect a rush, but if there is one anyway, they will have to wait two days ;)

Wouldn't it be nice if I were to have my two person guides that I think I should have gotten, when I return on Wednesday evening :)

Take care everyone who reads my blog :D see you all soon

Level 21 / More site bugs / Missing editorship

Wow, Snagglepuss, that's me :D

Usually the bugs involved level percentages but left the CPs alone. Nowadays it's the CPs that no longer show up on guides, but they must be awarded or I would not have gotten the new level. Yay, but confusing.

According to the forums, some people get editorshops for shows where none of their CPs show up, other people report that this does not seem to be the case for person guides. I THINK I've submitted enough to get a new person editorship :D but it doesn't seem to happen :(

Frustrating.

Flu/Cold / Site bugs

I've got the flu (or a really bad cold) and I'm driving myself crazy. Runny nose, coughing, it's either too hot or too cold and everything hurts :( It's also dark, gloomy and raining here, so I'm seriously considering going back to bed and watching a DVD (or two).

Bugs, on tv.com, whoever would've believed it :(
It seems there are more every day. CPs not being counted, or not showing up. PMs that cannot be deleted (unless by going to another site). Certain words causing error message when used on the forum or in blogs. Random season changes. What's next ???

Some people have decided to stop contributing completely until this is fixed. Perhaps it's for the best ???

London Report / Level 20

Well, as promised ;) a travel report :D

Had to get up at 3.45 a.m. on the Friday to catch my plane which departed at 6.05 !!! Due to the hour time difference, it landed at Standsted Airport at 6.15 and from there I got the Stansted Express train into central London (Liverpol Street Station). I bought an Oyster card there (slight overkill for someone who doesn't live in London, but what the heck) and took the Tube (i.e. the Underground) to my hotel. Amazingly, even though check-in time is after 2 pm, my room was free so I could dump my suitcase and go into the city. Went shopping, met up with friends and had a meal (at Wagamama) before turning in.

Next day, sleep late, meet up with more friends and visit the Victoria and Albert museum. In the evening, our group had rented a 'party room' where a very organised friend had planned some party games, drinks and music :D I fell into bed and slept till late on Sunday morning.

On Sunday I had a lovely full English breakfast :D Bacon and eggs, sausage, mushrooms, sausage and toast, delicious. We strolled a bit through London, I then went to see Blood Diamond (I often go see movies when I'm in London, cos in Germany they dub everything in German :( ) .Afterwards, I collected my suitcase at the hotel, took a cab to Liverpool Street and the train back to the airport. Had a great meal there, did some tax-free shopping and flew back home. Drove home and was in bed by 1 a.m. !!! Back to work on the Monday :(

Exhausted!!!!

Yay, I'm now level 20 :D A Cow Bell ROFL

Unexpected editorship (undeservedly) / Puns / London here I come

Well, I got an unexpected editorship.Dick Turpin (ROFL the show name is partly censored) but I shouldn't have gotten it. As quite a few people have already mentioned in this forum thread the bugfix for Person Guide CPs meant that some people got double the points. In order to correct that, they recalculated all the CPs since the start of the site. As mentioned in that thread, this presumably did NOT  take into account the legacy points, so the editor of Dick Turpin (who had even made me a TC) now has 5 points and I'm the editor. I like editorshops as much as the next tv.com addict, but not in this way ! ! I'm very curious to see what happens now...Puns, I love wordgames so I simply had to post these gems :D

New editorship

As mentioned in my previous blog, I was expecting ;) a new editorship. Voila:

The Brittas Empire, another very British comedy set at Whitbury Leisure Centre managed by Gordon Brittas and his two deputies, as shown in the picture. Mr Brittas is THE most annoying man on earth, but extremely well-intentioned.
