shadow of the colossus wasn't exactly a masterpiece. i expect this new game to be thhe exact same vein, so i'll pass on this one - whenever it may get released.
don't try hyping this thig too hard. i p,ayed the first one on ps3 and thought it was an incoherent mess. of course i don't want to play and pay for more of the same. develop something new and worth the while and you don't need to implement a drm that clear,y shows that there is no correlation between piracy and the sales figues of a good game. if you are producing a sequel and it tanks - don't complain.
@repulsive44552: agreed, gamers and gaming are not what they used to be, but the time limit in the DR series was just free of any fun. there are a ton of better ways to produce tension and a challenge.
it totally cracks me up to read how everybody and their mother is claiming "mweh 11 years in production". have you guys ever heard about a thing called "production hell"? of these 11 years the developpers worked maybe 2-3 years on it.
i played maybe 2 or 3 of these lego games. i guess indiana jones and a very, very bad one on the wii u. the style of these lego games, the whole approach to pack licenses into lego is not for me. i will never buy a lego game again. but it seems there are countless dudes and dudesses who still think a lego game is a great thing.
@Mercaptan: just like every other game out there, be it mmo's or the next massive rpg. after 30 hours a game usually falls into the category been there, done that and only diehards will go on playing.
i wasn't planning on paying for another lego game anyway but the fact that jar jar abrams is playable in this one keeps my wallet extra-closed. for i think he does not make very good movies but gets hyped as if he did.
