totally useless. i am not playing hardcore games on the go. not in the bus, not in the train, oftentimes i even got no urge to play games on a flight. 6 year olds are something different. but they do not have the spending power of adults - which are clearly targeted in their trailer. if i am playing a hardcore game i want to concentrate and try my best. this is not possible on the go. i would not want to screw up my save by doing stuff while on the go. so i am not sure if this is really what people want. but it is also not the first time that nintendo completely misses the market by not even acknowledging that they are inside the market and not an entity of its own. the next thing i was reading that this trailer is a scam. bethesda stated that it was fun to create a trailer with nintendo, but it is not said that for example skyrim will ever be released on this switch thing. it is like with the wii u. only because developpers said they could imagine releasing something for the new n-console doesn't mean they ever will. but they put all these developpers in their trailer. painting a totally wrong picture. my bet is the third parties will be gone near launch day. maybe one or two major titles will be (badly) ported. the sales revenue will be dissatisfying and before nintendo can even say "switch" all third party support will be gone. again.
and by the way: many people are stating "nintendo titles is all i'm interested in". all good and well. but have they played a nintendo title in the past 5-8 years? they were abysmal at best. a mere shadow of their former glory. nintendo's approach to gaming is so stale it makes a rock look dynamic in comparison. so n-titles are really no reason anymore. only for the diehards maybe. but they are not enough to keep all the third party support on board. and without 3rd parties we got the wii u situation. 2-3 n-titles per year and in between shovelware and droughts.
excuse me. the direction he was taking nintendo with was absolutely the wrong way. he was responsible for the wii and wii u. both were completely neglected by gamers. the wii was sold mostly to everybody and their mother. the delusion was evident when they thought the wii u was a good idea. sorry, iwata may have been a good person in private, i don't know, but as a businessman his decisions laid the groundwork for nintendos final demise. but iwata was not the only problem. the real problem is nintendo thinking it's still 1983 when they were pretty much the market. but the market overtook them several times since then. but nintendo is not able to acknowledge the market or its standards. that's why they now came up with this switch thing which is roughly 10 years too late. no wonder when you are too stubborn to do proper market research and think you're still the big cheese. their cheese stopped stinking about 20 years ago.
to be honest, sleeping dogs had great promise but it went repetitive way too soon. the whole game felt like so much potential was wasted. and their racing games were just plain out not fun enough. so, no surprise there that they had to close down. maybe they should have put more emphasis on playability. a newly created engine that captures the playability of a n-title, not only copying the concept of an n-game. they missed something elemental in their games. and my take is there were shareholders who didn't know the slightest about videogames. hence we got these very strange titles. polished somehow but lacking something essential.
and this exclusivity thing is a good thing or? does it enhance the gameplay? does it make out of a tired franchise a fancy and shiny new experience? sorry, since resident evil 5 this franchise is floating dead in the water. concerning VR: i am a big fan of it. but guess what, there will be tonloads of VR titles released from october on. resident evil whateveristhenumberbehindit will for sure not get money from me. i got burned with crapcom a few times too often in the past.
funny how you can tell instantly if the dude who did a review was into the genre or if it's just biased nonsense. in this case the biased nonsense almost is dripping out of the monitor. internet journalists these days.. phew.
i am reluctant with this one. i kind of dug mafia and mafia 2, but especially mafia 2 played like a bit too stiff. so no hurry there to buy day-1. once bitten, twice shy. escpecially in the gaming industry where devs and publishers seem to be immune to learning and don't feel like doing proper market research.
sorry, crapcom has proven numerous times now that they got no more clue and no more inspiration and therefore i am not giving money for anything resident evil anymore since re5. it is nice of you all that you are trapped in nostalgia and the biohazard brand and are content with their questionable approach to gaming. but me as a paying customer that has to work for his money i feel like i am getting pushed away.
this game is still a thing? i played it for about a week and then the repetitive boring uninspired gameplay pushed me away. the ambiente - one of fallout's strength in the past was completely gone. it is beyond me how this game still gets mentioned anywhere.
