its a good game, a lot of fun so far, combat is not as tight as dark souls, but we should not have been expecting that level of detail. It is less over the top then KoA and tactics play out better then in that game as well. If your not careful you can die which is really what I was most looking for in this...a combat system in a game where your not just smashing buttons to get through it so you can get to the next encounter. solid game so far, looking forward to playing it. An the game updated to 1.01 first thing, no idea what was contained in that and don't care much I am wondering about the first of the 10 quest packs.. if they are going to be worth it or not
it is a peaceful game it has smooth gameplay, and you simply move around in some pleasing sliding fashion around a pretty world listening to an excellent music score there are some cutscenes that bring an element of deeper meaning to the story bit they are not obvious so they leave you thinking about why your avatar is doing the things it is but really, it is just a peaceful experience...you can play the whole thing and then go to sleep calm and happy, not keyed up from running around shooting stuff. it is by no means for everyone, but for some people I think it fits a wonderful little niche
yes, but largely the same results could be achieved with both button mashing and being more care to tap in the right rhythm or sequence and that is really my point, I would have been far happier with KoA if there was a much wider gap between the results of doing it 'right' and just mashing buttons it was clear in dark souls, you mash randomly and your going to die, in KoA you sometimes get through the encounter even faster that way
yes, coming to a forum talking about vague second hand 'i heard there was terrible X issues' with no links or specific information is a bit trollish and trashy first I have heard of quest glitches and the like, etc I am sure there are some...I think we are a bit better off then the LOTR game by snowblind where they just up and quit (or closed up shop) fixing the massive game breaking progression bugs and left people hanging. I don't think that will be the case here on this game...at least I hope not.
button mashing is my biggest concern as well, dark souls was great because if you just button mashed you died... there needs to be a definiate downside to button mashing or this game is going to be a disappointment, kingdoms of amalur was the same way, no real difference if just pounded away on the button or played more tactical....in fact in that game being smart and tactical about things generally just made things take longer. here's hoping they got it right :/
I honestly don't see how this game has _any_ hope of succeeding... Its like watching a train wreck in slow motion...and its stunning to think there are some group of people that think this is such a great idea that they are just throwing money at it. An MMO on elder scrolls....is just tossing money down a hole with little hope of making it back, much less making a profit. It really is mind boggling to me...
I actually agree with the TC on this one, I do think a lot of the hype for the joker is because he killed himself afterwards... loki was a solid villain for a solid super hero movie i guess that would be the rub with me, I personally don't see the latest batman movies as being a 'super hero' movie but just another ridiculously dark tortured hero movie, batman was not 'super', he was just dark so I choose loki because I actually enjoyed the avengers movies and want to see it again, whereas I don't care to see ledger as the joker again...
agreed, I hope it is more like dark souls then not, it will be really disappointing if its sloppy feeling on either attack or defense, especially after how tight dark souls was
i get these more often from failing to open a dispelled chest, you can stack up a number of these if you fail a mess of times I just avoid the dispell minigame at this point, its a bit stupid anyway
good you got the XL...I am getting rid of my 3ds and going back to the XL.. 3ds has some nice hardware on it but it is just too small to hold comfortably and after a year it still has weeks on end with no releases of games, and most of those are junk anyway. i rue the day I got rid of my XL and got the 3ds, the 3ds is just such an incredible letdown
