I experienced the same thing when arriving at the third level or so. Apparently, you can (as an above poster suggested) hold the RB and LB which will clear the cache and make it run smoother. There was, however, a recent update to the game which fixed the problem for me. If that update didn't fix it then I'm not sure...

Make sure that your 360's dashboard settings are set to headset only (they're in the options somewhere). If they are set to headset only check the Gears options, though I'm not sure if there is something in there for it or not. If those two things don't work, then it's probably broken.

I think waiting a little bit would be in your best interest. In the fall the bugs should be worked out with the 360 due a smaller processor and new heatsinc which should make it run cooler and consequently more reliable. Additionally, the premium will be available with hdmi which is a bonus as well (even though you don't have HDTV...but for the future). My advice would be to wait unless you can't wait for the games coming out i.e. Halo, Mass Effect Call of Duty, Assasins Creed Bioshock ect...

Hey guys, I turn 31 (ouch) next week. I love the 360 (hardware is crap though) and will be playing games for years to come. I have been alive to see and play every console ever invented. It looks like I'm the second oldest one to post...I'm sure glad I'm not as old as that geezer who is 32...man that would suck...:D

Marcus would win as he would one-shot the chief from twenty feet away with the worst host shotgun in the history of video games. The chief, battered and war-torn would roll over and with his lastdying breath would utter "...shenanigans..."

Dude, if anyone feels your pain it's me. I bet you guys will never guess what happened to me today. Yep, three rings of death. Such crap. I would assume that microsoft employees check these sites regularly to read stuff like this so if u guys are listening...what the hell is going on? I think it is fair to say that the hardware is faulty. How many people do you know that are on their first console? I was the only one until my console died today. They claim thatan acceptable hardware failure rate has been happening. How many of us know people who are on their 3rd, 4th,5th console? I think this is a little more than an acceptable failure rate. Smartenup microsoft--peopleare getting pissed. Oh well I guessI can just send it back and be with out my box for 3 weeks orso--wait a minute NO I CAN'T. When I spend hard earned money on something like this I expect it to work. I don't think that this is too much to ask. I am more thanwilling to pay good money forquality products. It seems though that reliability was not inmicrosoft's plans for this generation of gaming. It seems obvious to me thatfixing flawedhardware hurts the bottom line less than the mass recall that should have been donewhen these broken consoles started going south. Once again dude, I feel your pain...

I chose Europe to start with and opted for the VW Golf GTi MkV.  It was a pretty good starter car and handled pretty well.  I basically dominated with it for the first little while.  After some upgrades any car will be pretty good.  When i first started I leaned toward the Audi TT (for the AWD) but went with the Golf instead.  Needless to say my VW no longer fits in the D class where it started (S963).  Anyhoo, whatever you choose I'm sure it will be good.

P.S.  Let's go Sens bring the cup back home where it belongs :D

I think it would be really cool if u could customize your apartment like you can customize your cars in Forza.  Imagine being able to buy sweet leather couches, cool artwork and massive plasma tv's for every room in the house.  These games always seem so external to me--very little in the way of anything that has my own unique tastes.  I would like to enjoy the fruits of my criminal endeavours by creating an environment with all the stolen goodies I've picked up along the way.
