Another Day Another Time #10

Hey peeps,

I have a feeling that I need a break from school. I got 50% on a socials test the other day (I just got the results today). Atleast I didn't fail (as I have never failed a test in my life). Thank God. Anyways, I'm just a little worried so now I'm going to have to step it up. I am going to have to cut into my gaming time. Sorry peeps. Once Halo 2 comes out everything will be great. I gotta go before my teacher sees me on this. Peace.

School can be weird sometimes...

Just recently my Social Studies teacher has assigned that we do a Current Events Project for everyday from the local newspaper. Personally I think it's a waste of time, but extra marks can't hurt right? Anyways,

Halo 2 is coming out real soon to which most gamers (and even non-gamers to my uneventful surprise) are going to be going down to the nearest EBGames, GameStop, Toys R Us, Future Shop, Best Buy, and wherever else you guys get your pieces of gold.

Right now I have to go eat but here is an update on my Carl "CJ" Johnson character. Detail Cut, Urban Camo Pants, Black hoody, Black high-tops, dog tags. I am updating my look very soon though!

Alright I gotta go because my leader is calling me for dinner. Peace.

Another Day Another Time #8

It truly is another day and another time. School is starting again tomorrow and I again, am worried about missed homework and projects. I also forgot to practice guitar again and again. I hope my previous posts have helped a little bit in whatever I said in them.

In GTA:SA, I am now in San Fierro where I am doing a mission for "The biggest pimp in town", and this game is still soo very fun. I have to admit that the country-side part was fairly long and hard because of all the driving back and forth.

Well, I have school tomorrow so I'll see you all later. Keep on gaming!

Time for gaming...is there ever enough?

I guess it all depends on alot of variables doesn't it? Type of game, time available, length of game, and the list just goes on. But do we notice it? I hope not. Because if we did, would videogames be enjoyable? Worrying about it just seems to suck us away from the actual experience. For me this is an important issue because I never seem to have enough time to game. There is always something that appears out of no where and drags me away from my Grove Street or my 2nd lap of the final race in the series.

Has anyone ever noticed how important time really is? Without time, would anything get done? Would those 70 hours on Final Fantasy count for anything? Just thinking of it makes me wonder. A world without time... think about it for a second. Anyways, back to my daily journal.

Right now I'm in the States chilling with some family and watching American Television. Boy do we Canadians miss out on alot down here. Anyways, my uncle and I just finished shooting at the Rifle Range. We brought his .30 Cal M1 which was really nice. We stuck the target down to 100 yards and we tore it up! I got 3 "bulls-eye", which was really nice. I found out that shooting guns makes for a good stress reliever (I find).

On an other note, I got a little bit further in GTA: SA. I am now in the BadLands, where there is alot of trees and whatnot surrounding dirt paths and long winding roads. This game is absolutely amazing. Just the vastness of the levels and the detail that is within the levels that just surprises me. Especially when no loading times are apparent.

Right now I'm just sitting back and typing away my thoughts and feelings on whatever, watching this reality show for rock bands that want to make it big on Ozzyfest 04. I think it's pretty neat seeing these guys trying their hardest to make it big. I'm thinking of making a band with me and my 2 friends. A 3 member band. It would be something really cool to have done in a lifetime (IMO).

10 more days till Halo 2 (and the end of low-end, low-par first-person shooters as we know it). I can't wait. It is going to be amazing. I talked to an old friend (Brant, Cannuck40), and apparently he preordered Halo 2 and has Xbox Live also. Which means, me and ShadeZero will be gaming it up for quite a while. I can't wait. I swear I'm going to have a heart-attack or something. I can't wait.

Alright well I'm going to get back to game reviews and whatever I need to do. Peace out friends and peeps who just wanna check out my journal. My friends rule.

Peace.

My Upcoming Game Library

My upcoming gaming library is going to the best I have ever had, period. And may possibly be the best you have ever seen! (I'm joking because no one will ever admit that, ever.)

Halo 2 Limited Edition (Preorder)

Gran Turismo 4 (Preorder)

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater (Getting when comes out)

Need For Speed UnderGround 2 (Preorder)

Doom 3 (Xbox) (Currently Saving Up Money)

Quake 4 (After I get a new computer :()

And that's within 6 months!

I can't wait. Woot, and yeah, anyways.

I've also decided to post my reviews here in my journal AND in the review section of the game so that everyone can see my reviews (whether they like it or not...mwahahahaha...im done.)

I've just been playing GTA:SA alot and so far it has been AWESOME. The graphics have been updated substantially and the game play is ALOT better then before (it's less as stiff..if that makes any sense at all). You can now talk to people and recruit people to your gang which is awesome because they follow you wherever you go and they aren't that "stupid". The missions are not too hard yet not too easy to which some games fail to give such an experience. Weapons sound a little disappointing, but nonetheless seem "unique" in their own way but other then that the sounds are quite good and give a good feeling to the game. The skill upgrading system in the game gives a nice touch and actually make a difference in your gameplay which makes this game so outgoing in that they successfully created an upgrading system so that the player actually FEELS like he's getting better. I think it's better then "leveling up". Anyways, I enjoyed how when you eat, it gives you a Fat Bar so that you can see how heavy you are and how much you need to work off. This game has HUGE replayability which is what I like because that means I can play it for quite a while without getting tired with it (which also equals to less money being spent because of boredom). Changing your appearance was also a super cool thing that they brought back from Vice City but they made it better and now with the better graphics and body building now available, your clothes actually look like they fit you. Car handling, is also upgradable and driving actually is funner to do so and doing races is awesome fun especially if you have nitrous. Alright I better finish this up before I screw it up. See you all later!
