People still play GTA? I stopped at Vice City. It's an mmo sim. Do this. Do that. Go there. Kill that...It's like WoW without the social aspect.
frankopan's forum posts
All 3 characters are uninteresting. Trevor and Micheal are there for the "antihero breaking bad/mid life crisis american pie" stich while Franklin is the "good guy trying to make it". It's as if Rockstar couldn't decide what char to go with so they just chucked them all in there. Lazy. Let's hope the gameplay delivers. I liked gta4.
10/10 You are THE troll of gamespot. Well played sir.Why do Hermits feel superior to everyone? When clearly PC gaming isn't all that.
Here is why:
PC has the worst community of them all
It seems like every game I end up in there is always a fight going on. It doesn't matter what game it is, Hermits are by far the most anti-social people ever. This makes for a horrible experience each time you are playing online on a PC.
Hermits care too much about graphics which is why they enjoy garbage games like Crysis and Metro etc
Seriously those two games are possibly one of the worst games ever, Hermits only enjoy them so they can look at those fancy graphics, which is quite sad. And to be honest eventhough I can play all the latest games on the highest settings with 2560x1440 resolution, the graphics are overrated by Hermits. I enjoy Uncharted 3, God of War III, Heavy Rain just as much as Crysis 3 graphics wise.
Mods ruin gaming
It just boggles my mind why so many people download mods. I'd rather play the original vanilla version than a crappy fan game, even with added graphic mods. And don't mention games like DayZ because i get shivers all over my body from how bad that game is. Hermits like to mention that atleast they get the option, but who cares? The moment you download a mod the immersion is gone forever, it's more like a curse really.
Hackers/Virusses
PC is the most dangerous platform when it comes to getting hacked and getting virusses.
Also there are a vast amount of hackers in PC games, which makes gaming on the PC a terrible experience. I have yet to encounter a hacker in one of my games on the PS3.
Errors/bugs everywhere
With the PlayStation I don't have that problem at all. But the PC gives you constant problems with games not working etc. Which results in wasting your time trying to find answers on various message boards, and whether you solve the problem or not remains to be seen. This is because PC gamers have different set ups unlike console gamers. What works with one video card (etc) might not worh with another. The exclusive line-up for the PC this year is horrible
With the exception of Rome Total War, the PC game line-up is going to get crushed by the PS3/PS4 line-up just mark my words.
The PC has to rely on the success of it's much older exclusives in order to stay relevant, because there used to be a time when the PC did put out some great exclusives, but unfortunately those days are long gone. The Hermits of this day and age are spending their time playing awful games like WOW, which is easily the crappiest game this gen.
Piracy
Davekeeh
99% of Hermits are pirates and they are really hurting the gaming industry.
It's less social
People can come over and play with you on a console which is much better than those crappy lan parties. And with the PS4 going all in for social gaming it's only going to get better.
Instant play
Only on consoles. Especially the PS4, where you can play games even while they are downloading.
This is why consoles are so popular, because the experience on consoles is far better than gaming on a PC.

To anyone thinking of upgrading here is my advice: skip each gen of cards. So if you have a 680 wait untill the 880 which will be Maxwell.
That is just in general but ofcoarse everyone plays different games, at different resolutions and have different expectations and so on and you should choose accordingly.
Do not base your upgrades on hardware cycles.

Kip, I was planning to splurging for a 680 in june but now... advise me! This is a new rig I'm building btw. Around a 1600 dollar budget.
The 680 is still a very powerful and relaible card. If you buy one in June as you planned you will be very happy! There are certainly other helpful people here who im sure would be happy to advise, but my philosphy go along the lines of: If you decide to wait, you'll be waiting forever, so act now.
Mind telling what sort of games you plan on running as well as at what resolution?
I'm planning on getting back in to GW2, BF3 and SC2. Haven't played Crysis 3 yet and I want to pick it up on sale which in my opinion is inevitable. I game at 1920x1080.[QUOTE="frankopan"]
I'm building a new rig in june. I was planning on getting a 680. Will the 680 fall in price and will the 780 take it's place pricewise?
_Matt_
Hopefully, but knowing Nvidia's not so competitive pricing, the 680 will probably stay the same price for a while, with the 780 being more expensive.
Awww that's a shame. To anyone thinking of upgrading here is my advice: skip each gen of cards. So if you have a 680 wait untill the 880 which will be Maxwell.

By giving this news so much attention you are empowering them. Please move on to something else. Something that has to do with gaming.
I don't even...Assassins Creed: Arkham

The PC version of dark souls is truly amazing.
Animal-Mother
It really is. I'm very impressed with what the community has been able to do.
I won't lie. I beat the game fair and square on my 360. I did use a trainer on the PC version and I played through it again, but the nice thing is aside from the improved visuals is the trainer allowed me to see every inch of that world and experience thing I never would've on the console version. Trainer!? What trainer? I have the pc version and butsted my balls to finish the game and now I find out there is a trainer!
