Obama is incompetent and corrupt, all democratically elected officials are (though a few flukes happen, see FDR).

However rand paul is worse. libertarians are a danger to this country and to the concept of technocracy, and thus the future of mankind.

It's a third world muslim country nobody has ever heard of. 80% of it is extremely dry desert. It's a single-party state.

So yeah, a burning hole in the ground is probably the only interesting thing about it.

At least it has that going for it.

Only when breaking the shackles of democracy can technocracy be reached.

Funny how none of those undemocratic societies ever reach that technocracy point. It's almost as cute as Marxism. Meanwhile, in reality, democracy societies have done more to advance the world than all other forms of government combined. Keep dreaming, kid.

That's because they get bogged down in incompetent tyranny's. this has to do with an entrenched oligarchy created by scarcity based economics and the price system. Only a country that is self sufficient and adopts abundance based economics can reach Technocracy.

Jebus213

why do people (especially americans) always have to make these types of comments when talking about foreign counties?

Need to point out a few things.

First of all. "Avpixlat", the source that's been used for this thread isn't a news site... it's a blog without an editor-in-chief, it's been described by other more reliable newspapers as a source for racist far-right propaganda.

Secondly, there were about 50-70 teenagers involved in this insane incident... haven't heard anyone else describe them all as muslims, in fact, I'm pretty sure that not all of them were Muslims and that Islam had nothing to do with this. "Many immigrants, many dressed in traditional Muslim clothing, have been involved in a fight with the police."... this quote that was translated very accurately from that blog made me kind of depressed... so did the title of this thread which in my opinion is very misleading.

Yummy_carrot

uuuuum this.

Why has no one paid attention to this comment.

If both parties accept that risk i don't see the problem.

I don't think anyone here is saying that there's necessarily a problem with two consenting adults choosing to go out back and beat the hell out of each other until the other is dead or otherwise completely unable to fight back. If that's their choice, then ok. But I think everyone here is saying that that kind of fight is senseless and incredibly dangerous, and shouldn't be promoted in any way in our society.

It's just funny to me (and a little sad) that something that was a big part of all human cultures up to 100 or so years ago no longer really exists.

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]That would be called murder. Personally I wish sports had a steroid league. Now that would be some intense action. Fightingfan

Not if both parties consent. Heck i never said anyone had to die either, giving up or being knocked out also would end the fight.
