Yeah I agree stick with your rosewill for now. And I use Tom's VGA charts as a decent ballpark comparison. It's handy that way.

Not bad. I prefer my AVG Free/Adaware/Spybot combo a bit more though, but Avast is good too. Kapersky too

Ok thanks. Hey Frosty, I have a question..If the X1950XT is so good, why don't you have one?

TugboatTheGreat

Back when I got my 7900GS, the XT was still in the $200's almost twice the amount I paid for my GS.

The thing about Rosewill is you either get a solid working PSU, or one that will crap out on you.

As much as I hate Rosewill, your XT will most probably run on that PSU

PS: can your PSU handle a x1950xt?

The XT beats the GT 512MB soundly. It slaughters the 256MB version you linked, plus the 7900GS

The x1950XT outperforms the 512MB version of the GT, the 256MB version is no match for it. Plus, the XT costs less than the GT. Out of those three, the XT is the best performing card by far. Just make sure you have
enough juice in your PSU to power it.

Oh yes, in fact it beats both of those cards, and it costs $189 dollars.

I got my Video card last june for a wopping 600$ and i have been extreamly happy with it, but was it the right time to buy it? i want to know what you guys think, should i have waited for the 8800 ( same price dammit!) or was this a good decision? I have been lustfully gaucking at the 8800 for a while now and wishing i had not gotten my 7800. is it going to be good enough for crysis?mariomusicmaker

You got it last June? Man, you gotta just enjoy those months of high end gaming you got from your 7800. If you keep waiting for the next big thing, you're never going to get to enjoy your gaming. the 7800 will probably run it decently, from the rumors flying around. Crysis is supposed to be demanding, but reasonable.

Grass levels can also be turned down. IMO, they make items hard to find. I have a 7900GS and it runs fine, except when I'm fighting groups of guards in a rainstorm, or sometimes, snow..

BTW to TC, I like Zildjian better than Sabian =D
