I own all CoD games, but for a while i have been thinking of getting a different online FPS. My friends gave me download for battlefield 1943 and i thought it was ok.SO which if these would you recommend?
Battlefield Bad COmpany 2
Battlefield Bad Company
MAG
Main thing is: Has BC2 improved on 1943?
and is BF or MAG better in terms of gameplay, community, graphics and variety?

So ive been addicted to MW2 for a few months now and i really need a way out. I have been playing it EVERY night for the past few weeks and i need something to get me away. I know that when black ops comes out im going to be sucked right into that too. So my question is if anyone knows a game with great online multiplayer that will get me away from MW2. I love all types of games (minus sports, but includes racing). The only games i currently own are MW2, Fallout 3, and Motorstorm.killertrumpet92
ok, ill try to be serious about this rather than some people. A few people recommended CoD4, i would say that is one of the best online games i have played. Less arcade like than MW2, but still fun and enjoyable. But if your really into MW2, then maybe try something different to CoD. I also noticed someone recommended GTA4. This is loads of fun online if you play with friends, but otherwise i find it extremely boring. Also, I would recommend TBOGT, as there are extra guns, cars etc. compared to the original. But also, for SP i would say that TLAD is best, but GTA 4 is longest. All GTA games are fun with friends online, but not as good if none of your friends have it/play it. I am currently thinking of purchasing Battlefield Bad Company 2, because like you i enjoy COD, but want to try something different. BC2 seems good because it plays differently to CoD, and i want to try something relying more on team work. I cant tel you what it is like, but its a good alternative in my opinion. Killzone 2 is a very good game, but i dont get the multiplayer. I think its a great game, but i find multiplayer a bit limited. I enjoy it, and alot of people claim its a great multiplayer, but i dont find it so great. However, as someone wrote in another topic, recommendations rely on a persons own opinion, you may find it great like most other people (and its only very cheap now) Other gmes that i enjoy online, but wont go into too much detail about are: Unreal Tournament 3 (loads of fun, but only if you find people to play with) CoD: World at War (more balanced than the other CoD games in my opinion) Burnout Paradise (hundreds of online challenges, loads of fun, very casual play, everyone plays together rather than against each other. But you need to progress a bit in Sp to have good cars for online)

EDIT: oops, i forgot Red Dead Redemption. New DLC for online and a very good game for ratings. I havent played it but i think ill get it soon, the only thing that worries me is the graphics. People lookugly in it, lol. Online is supposed to be good

I can't believe this game was one of mine anticipated games.. what a letdown, from demo alone..

Sokol4ever
same for me, but it grows on me the more i play it. Also, for those of you complaining about time limit, just get killed at about 1 min left, and the clock resets and you can play for another ten mins. (it does the same as laoding the demo again but anyway, its a bit quicker.) And finally, i didnt suffer from any screen tearing and found the graphics very nice and vibrant. Maybe i need to play it again :P

I have read of many people being converted from playing MW2 to now liking BC2. What is it that makes Battlefield better than Call of Duty? Besides the usual 12 year old, noob tubing, campers things that is. Such as, is the gameplay actually better, graphics etc. or is it just that there are no 12 year old, camping noobtubers?
Also, I have played Battlefield 1943 and wasnt too sure whether it was so good. I prefer MW2 to 1943. Has Bad Company 2 improved on 1943, or has little changed?
Finally, is team work a massive factor in BC2, or does it depend on who you play with? On MW2 it feels much as though people only compete for the highest KD ratio and Killstreak rather than pushing to win the game. Is this the same in BC2, or has this improved compared to MW2?

Depending on how good the demo is then ill buy MAFIA II, but if the demo is rubbish illl leave it til the price comes down. Ive been waiting for Mafia for months so ive not bought many new games. If i dontlike the demoill go straight out and buy either Bad Company 2 or Red Dead Dedemption.

this is one of the few games that i am looking forward to. looking at my previous record (red dead redemption, assassins creed 2 and a few others) it should get good reviews.
Im extremely excited for this game.

hmmmm, i agree that cod is designed for small maps, and battlefield for big maps, but i wouldnt go as far as saying battlefield was open world. Its big but not like open world on gta/far cry 2 as some of you mentioned. Its an ok idea, but probabaly wouldnt happen. I would still buy it though :P

I like to think I play mature games. I play mostly high rated games. But i guess that MW2 doesnt count? :P, thats just 12 year olds pretending to be old. However i have to admit that I will not play Dead SPace because I found the demo too scary. lol, but I have been tempted by the low price to try and overcome my fear. Otherwise i do play mature games.

Far Cry 2 is funny, but only if you have actually played it. Both fans and haters of the game will probably enjoy it. It was the first ZP review i watched, and have not found one that is as good since. check it out
