This game screams for a single-player campaign. Multi-player is just not the way to do a horror-themed game. This game does seem appealing, but the lack of a story-based single-player campaign already ruined my interest.

The Half-Life franchise is dead. We really need to stop expecting another game in the series. Valve is no longer a game development company. They're now just into everything related to Steam (Steam OS, Steam Machines and Steam itself). Besides, most people who worked on the previous Half-Life games are quitting Valve, so it would be an arduous task for Valve to live up to the high standards set by previous Half-Life games. They'd rather not even attempt another Half-Life and risk tarnishing it's legacy. We just need to consider this beloved series an unfinished epic.

This makes one thing clear, though. Kojima's games henceforth will be exclusive to Sony consoles. So as a PC gamer, I suppose 'The Phantom Pain' is the last Kojima game I'll ever play (since I don't really want to buy a console).

This game is such an over-rated piece of garbage. I was sorely disappointed, even though I picked it up for pretty cheap. I don't understand how it garnered such immensely positive critical reception. Hardly 2 hours worth of gameplay. I don't know if I can even call it 'gameplay', or more of an 'interactive movie.

I don't know if Activison fabricates these 'sales figures'. I mean.....who would want to play the same game with a fresh coat of paint every year? The Call of Duty games have remained almost same since World at War (or Modern Warfare 1, can't remember).

Always online DRM? No thank you, I won't be seeing you on the streets after all! Oh yeah, before I forget...here's my middle finger in your face, EA! You can shove this game and it's nasty DRM up your stinkin' Ahole!

@Marky360:

You're right! I'm tried of this HL3 crap. Let them at least wind up the story and be done with it. We can always consider the series as an unfinished epic.

Stop trolling us, Valve! It's not funny any more. It's downright tragic. Of course Valve doesn't owe anything to Half-Life fans, but would it be so hard to at least release a graphic novel or something to wrap up the story? Because I'm pretty sure HL-3 is vapourware (although it was never announced).

@LiquidGold

I didn't own a console back then. So I only played them in the 2000s by using an emulator on the PC (although PC versions were available by then). This meant, quicksaves! Never played Resident Evil 3, though.
