Let me see you say this after a couple of years, when PC hardware would have advanced by a mile but the consoles would still be stuck with the same hardware they shipped with. During launch, consoles obviously match up to PCs, but the REAL fun for PC gamers start after a couple of years of the consoles' release. And there are several other advantages like keyboard/mouse controls and mod support, which makes PC the best platform for games.
You're right, but playing the same game every year does tend to get a bit monotonous. A bit of innovation (I'm not including the dog here) never does any harm.
No way I'm wasting 50 GB of my precious hard drive space for a crappy COD game. Its been the same game with a fresh coat of paint for many years. Now, even if they use a new engine and an 'innovative' dog, the gameplay I'm sure will still be more of the same.
R.I.P. I really enjoyed his novels and games. Does his death mean that franchises like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell etc. won't bear his name anymore?
I'm sure that Gabe Newell would be watching this inflow of comments with a chuckle, while munching on cashews! He'll be thinking 'Look at these fools getting all hyper, but we're going to take our own sweet time anyway!' :P
