@jenovaschilld: I agree but it is not just copyrights and patents. Just about every aspect of our lives shows the rich do not have to follow the same standards and rules as everyone else.
And when it really comes down to it, it is not a problem with the companies and people. It is the government. Not going to change the rules to be fair as long as money is allowed in politics at all.
Should be punishable by life in prison for a congressman to receive a dime from a company or organization. You take out the corruption out of DC i Doubt 80 percent of the government even bother to run again. Because they are there for profit not to serve.
@Barighm: Yeah and that is not the same phrase. And not only would they have to prove they using a Lord of the Rings theme. They would have to prove that either they are competing with them or their use of it is damaging them in some way.
They have no case they just have power and money so they will win.
@jenovaschilld: Is what I said they could fight it but it would be too costly in both money and time. Because that is what the big guys do. They bully and intimidate to get their way and the law makes no difference in the end because it is warped to give them the advantage.
@Barighm: Yeah but like I said I doubt they have a trademark that covers any mention of the one ring. Specially when the clear definition of their ring is about the doorbell not a ring. Not a trademark lawyer but this seems to be a case of the big guy doing whatever he wants to the little guy. Little guy could win but would cost him his entire business and years of his life fighting it.

How they going to prove is a lord of the rings theme? Lord of the flies a famous book too. And fairly certain lord of the anything at all is not in their trademark.
Now if they said they had people dressed up as orcs and dwarves throwing away the trash they might of had a case.
Last Dragons age game was pretty blah. But the grindy shallow multiplayer was kind of addictive. Hope they build on that and maybe make the game itself better this time.
How is there confusion? You buy a remake and its actually a remaster you not going to be happy and would let them know exactly what you think when you get your money back.
Never seen that get confused it might have in some game Im not interested in. But it says remake it better be a remake because there is a CLEAR difference.
