@Jinzo_111887: Never said there was not a demand for old games. Hell I played most games when they released all the way back to the 70s and I still play some of those old games. But all those old games going to be on the psstore just like they are now has nothing to do with BC. BC is just about getting something for free. And it is not free for them to convert those games to work on new systems. You payed for RE2 on the ps4 not the ps5.

I am sure some games will xfer for free anyway. Some will charge a xfer fee and some will just make you pay full price again. Which sounds more then fair to me. If there is such a high demand as you say then they should charge even more.

@asultana121x: Same reason PC players hate on the consoles. Same reason if you play diablo or PoE that hardcore players call everyone else noobcore. And standard players will Troll right back. Answer is because it is the internet.

@just1mohr: tons of ps1-3 games on the playstation. Just the problem that a lot of them on psnow and streaming games sucks. Xbox does have the advantage there. But that is not backwards compatible that is a subscription service. Backwards compatible is playing games you already own for free on the new systems.

@Atzenkiller: Like above you are talking about retro gaming not backwards compatibility. There are plenty of ps1-3 games on the ps4 now. This is people being cheap and not wanting to pay for that retro gaming not whether they can play it or not.

Backwards compatibility has nothing to do with what you are talking about. All those retros and remakes will be on the ps5 and xbx. This is about getting those games for free on the new systems. It is people with 100s of games in their library they want to transfer to the new systems. Why? You want to play them keep your old system.

Wish they would do something else with their resources. That backwards compatible crap is just xboy rhetoric. Not really that many worrying about what old games they can play, Most people worry about what future games they will be playing.

@sippio: Lol that generation was barely an improvement and the xbox360 I would not know because it was in transit because of the RROD for the first 6 months after release to get replaced 3 times. Have not had that feeling you describe since I was playing on super nintendo and the playstation came out. Really has not been a big leap since then just a steady slow improvement in consoles since.

And controllers only identical if you buying an xbox. New ps5 controllers might be cool but will depend on whether game makers decide to use the technology to its potential. But no not a huge innovation we really have not had any big change to controllers since thumbsticks and wireless.

Will not complain about the price of the game if the games are not garbage. Give me another fo76 or anthem for 70 dollars someone is giving me my money back guaranteed. Either that or someone going to have to explain to the doctor how that game disc got so far up his a..!

Hey actually a game that I am interested in on that list that I do not own. Persona 5. Lot of games there be an incentive to a new ps plus member though.

@bdrtfm: Is true that age swung back to ps4 because of price I am sure. But previous generation was a major swing for the young to buy the cheap xbox360. Average age of gamers is 34 infact the massive majority of gamers are age 18-34. 38 percent of gamers in that age range and 26 percent in the 35 to 54 age range. And that is total gamers they count PC and cell phones.

Console players in general are younger is no numbers that seperate the various platforms. But at 47 I am average on pc old but not real old on ps4 and "OMG boomer" on xbox as a matter of fact xbox was the only place in a game I was ever called a "boomer" which is kind of evidence in of itself.

And yeah not saying there is not more younger players on ps4 there is ALOT more players in general. Which is besides the point by that logic I am right for sure because there is more older players too. And ps4 was closer to outselling xbone 3 to 1 then 2 to 1 lol.

No use arguing over it though we can agree to disagree My personal experience shows the xbox players are younger on average. But I have not played xbox since 360 but would guess the price tag on xbone did affect the age range quite a bit.
