Still a bunch of wishful thinkers. Have news for you even if it is 400 dollars most of you will have to pay over 1000 if you want to play a ps5 anyway. Requires a connection most of your tvs do not have. Well unless you want a ps5 that plays the same as a ps4. To get the power out of the new systems you need hdmi 2.1 and most tvs do not have it.

Cheapest TV I have seen with hdmi 2.1 was $1499 and was only a 55 inch. Price will go down by the time ps5 comes out but that will still be pretty pricey.

@megagood2345: Designing products to break shortly after the warrantee expires is a common place practice that even has a name,. It is called planned obsolescence. And I still find it more likely xbox was practicing this and failed at it. They did not account for us "no lifers" that broke 3 or more of them in that time period.\

If you think PS4 controllers are not using this same practice you are nuts. If I have a game to play I burn through a ps4 controller every 5 to 6 months like clockwork. It is always the same exact problem with the thumb stick. Wear and tear happen randomly naturally so to be so predictable has to be by design.

People still fall for the fake shortages tactic? Should be ashamed to use the corona virus as an excuse too. Especially considering the switch is focused on such a young audience.

@danmu: Did you look at Nintendo's comment? It acknowledges the problem and sympathizes with it without supporting protests.

And those protests were illegal to begin with they were done with the intent to interfere with an investigation since they started BEFORE HE WAS EVEN CHARGED.

And So many that statement after the protests turned violent not before. And yeah I like that CNN one where the anchor was talking about how peaceful the protests were while there were cars on fire on the screen behind him. Peaceful in the daytime goes violent at night. Making the entire protest violent by association. Just like the cops watching are guilty the protesters standing by while it happens are guilty.

The so-called peaceful protesters watch an injustice happen right before them while protesting one they watched on social media/news and do nothing. Speaking of that where were the people taking videos of the death of Floyd? Why did they do nothing?

So you tell me what is the message? What is the proposed solution? What voices? Only voice I have heard is from the victims brother who says to stop. I see a message all cops are bad because of a select few. How is that any different then the injustice they are fighting against? If me or you judge an entire group of people based on what a small amount of them do we are called racist, rightfully.

@danmu: First off you know damn well the "half" comment was not a factual statement. It was like saying "I wasted half my day arguing with this troll on gamespot" My statement is "A game company getting involved in politics is a bad idea" is still true ask Nintendo. They tried to censor certain content and almost got destroyed for it.

In fact go look at Nintendo's statement on BLM. Non biased recognition of the issue. They did not side with the protesters like Sony did with the "More important voices need to be heard" comment. At a time when there were no voices just rampant destruction and violence.

@aross2004: Again wrong use of the word. Me telling someone to GTFO of my thread is just that me telling someone to GTFO my thread. I am not entitled to say it I just......did, not by claiming some inherent right to do so.

@danmu: Again and again you prove what I said about you. I again state facts and you just dismiss them out of hand as dumb and ignorant without any kind of point anywhere in sight. Then again like a 12 year old girl on facebook you rage quit(or pretend to).

You have claimed you are a democrat. And as a democrat you are criticizing others on racism. You told me earlier to learn my history. How about you learn your own. Look at democratic views in 1860, 1920, and 1968 specifically then tell me again how your democratic views are morally superior.

So you will excuse me if I do not take a civil ethics lesson from a democrat. This is a media driven shitshow plain and simple. Again as I have stated before there is not even evidence this killing was racially motivated. I know you do not care about due process but HALF of us do.

@danmu: Talk about not being transparent. First of all that half comes from the fact that just about all political views are half and half. If it wasn't that way elections would all be a landslide.

How many white people were killed by police last year? 370. How many black people? 235. How many of those white people were national news? 0.

Now I do concede there is more white people then blacks by a large amount. But you would have to concede that more crime is committed in the black community(which you wont even though it is true) which gives them more opportunity to engage with the police. But where are these rates that are so out of control you are talking about?

And I never said I believed anything. This could be a pr move this could be sincere(I doubt it if corporations had morals they would still be small businesses) Or it could be just like I think it is a convenient excuse for a delay.

Not to mention last week it was "socially important" to follow the covid lockdown and wear a mask by the same exact people protesting with no mask in massive groups. I mean it is hard to keep up on what you brilliant people will consider "socially important" day to day.

@danmu: Have I said a single thing complaining about the press event? Have I even mentioned it? I have said it is a bad idea for a game company to get involved in politics at all because they will piss off half their player base no matter which side they are on.

I will say I doubt Sony delayed because of respect for anything. To Sony them not delaying would be more surprising. This just gave them an excuse.
