@penkowalski: No flip-flopping here. Love my PS4, jealous I don't have a machine to run Titanfall. The mobility, mix of bots and live players, and Titan-killing look absolutely brilliant in the first game, can't wait for the second.

@wrestlemaniaw: For Titanfall 2 on PS4? I'm waiting for that.

@darkouer: My guess? They wouldn't exist if they were unlockable. Companies give ongoing support of this kind so they can make money. I don't happen to want what they're selling, but apparently someone does, and I'm okay with that.

I know the game isn't going to change my kid's diaper and mow my lawn for me, but with a small dose of realistic expectations, I'm very excited for Battlefront. I also figure EA has the stats on how many matches people played and how far people progressed, so they know whether people were one-and-done, or kept coming back for one more battle.

The game is beautiful, brings back HUGE nostalgia for this '70's kid, and since I happen to really enjoy Battlefield 4, I'm confident DICE can deliver a game I'll enjoy. Will it be my forever game? Unlikely, but I'll get my 30+ hours from it.

@xxbioghostxx: You lost me at "graphics were last gen," then even more at "this game is for nerds and girls."

I watched multiple hours of multiplayer streaming yesterday. In the early matches it looked like an okay shooter. It was...fine. Pretty.

Three hours later, the game looked exciting. I don't care whether this is a MOBA or not. The shooting mechanics looked tight, there was dynamic teamwork, the streamers had progressed in their ability to use each character's skills, and there was a lot to pay attention to in a good way.

Before, I was hopeful but wary. I really wanted this game to be good. Now? The beta can't come soon enough.

@geminij13: Metacritic, the website that gathers together reviews from places like this--reviews that you've rejected as too biased?

It doesn't have to be all-or-nothing, GeminiJ13. Read multiple opinions, find people who speak to your gaming preferences, but don't imagine that there is a Pleasure Dome of Kublai Khan out there where all voices sing a single game-review-score song.

@geminij13: If you know of a different site where they have both the staff and the time to have multiple people play and review a game, please let me know. I think you may have imagined a "balanced" review world that doesn't exist.

@geminij13: Pretty sure there is no voting. A reviewer is assigned the game, he or she brings a score back with the review. If they can justify it enough to their editor, it goes up. Someone else my love/despise the game, it won't change the score.
