@domiddian: His primary criterion for purchase, based on his statement, seemed to be that PS4 had better performance. I made no assumptions about where his friends are, only responded to what seemed to be his primary purchasing guide.

I'm fine either way. I'm just not a fan of console wars, and comments that seem to feed into that battle bother me. I can accept being wrong, though, if he wants to correct me. If not, well, I'll be playing Battlefront tonight on my PS4. (While my stupid friend is out of town. Why do we have jobs? WHY?!?)

@lefthandbandito: Such an odd comment to me. Why would your purchase be determined by resolution, and not by the location where your friends are playing? I would absolutely get this game to play with others (which is what I'm actually doing).

I don't think Battlefront would have the same charm for me if I were going solo, but I shouldn't assume. If that's what you're doing, then sure, PS4 is a great choice.

@investor9872: Yes, it's $15 for one expansion, $50 for 4, I get that. And this is a shooter, so a few maps, weapons and characters are probably what you can expect.

That said, making good multiplayer maps is hard, and I can get a lot of hours of enjoyment out of a good map. I understand if people don't want to pay this; I haven't bought an expansion for a shooter other than Battlefield 4 on sale. My experience with that content was very positive, though, and I'll seriously consider putting money into the SW Battlefront season pass...once I see what they're putting into the first pack.

If my friend hadn't hopped from Xbox to PlayStation, my PS4 would probably be traded in for an XbOne.

@adam4897332: If you enjoyed the beta, then you pretty much know what you're getting, and I'd say buy it.

About the season pass, the price is standard for your AAA shooters recently, and we can't know if it's a "rip off" until we find out the actual content. If you're still enjoying the game a couple months after launch, I don't see any reason not to throw them an extra $15 for more good gaming.
