Back from Debate

Well I managed to qualify yesterday but lost after my second round today. So no medal for me :(. But at least I didn't go away empty handed. Now I am very, very exausted :P. Now I can get more than five hours of sleep and I can finally get back to animating and Devil May Cry 3. Well, laters ;).

Debate Tournament tomorrow.....Woot?

Well, as the title suggests I will be competing in my first debate tournament. I have a few doubts with my affirmative case, but a bit more confident with my negative case. We are basically arguing over treating drugs as public health or criminal justice. If I win at least two rounds I can move on to finals on Saturday. So wish me luck.

Jeff Dunham! Woot!

Tomorrow I am going to see Jeff Dunham live. He is one of my all time favorite comedians. There certainly not going to be people that will agree with me and I am sure some of you are like that as well, but that's just your opinion of course. But at least I know that there are other fans out there like me :). With the exception of his failed TV show he's great. I hope to laugh hard.

Quick update on life.

Well, my first debate tournament is next week and it's exausting. I still need to finish up the rest of my cases which are a pain. All through next week my soul belongs to my coach. To take away the stress I'm playing Sonic Adventure 2 (after about 7 years) and Shinobi for the PS2. As expected Shinobi is kicking my ass :P. Unfortunately I am now single again. James lonely now :(. Well, hopefully the one will turn up eventually.

Well, laters.

Random topic.

Okay I don't have much to say but I'm gonna just do a little nitpick. Today's subject: Sonic Adventure 2. Of course I do love this game, but if there is one thing that makes me leary everytime I try to go back is the Knuckles/Rouge stages. Why?

THOSE DAMN GHOSTS!!!

They are in almost every level of theirs and they are just really freaky looking, especially the bigger ones. I could never finish the game as a kid because Sega apparently felt like scaring us s***less. So I don't care what people say, but I can never really play those stages because of those things.

Woot! 100 reviews!

Before my one year anniversary here on Gamespot I managed to review 100 games, with my 100th review being Jak 2. Most of my one hundred reviews consist of good scores, with alot of 10s on these games because I felt they were that good. Now I'm looking forward to reaching 200 reviews by the two year anniversary. Some people will call me a nerd for this, but I call it being different, and I of course like that. I pretty much fit right here at Gamespot.

Long live we gaming nerds and game reviewing. Cheerio ;).

Celebrating Halloween with a scary bad game.

So Halloween is upon us. Since I'm too old for trick-or-treating and I'm not a fan of the horror movie genre, I figured I'll play a bad game. What did I choose.........Sonic 06.

The reason: I haven't played the game in about two years since I turned it in. But I finally convinced myself to go ahead and buy it and try to play it again. Plus, I am trying to collect the Sonic games since I am a fan, so in order to complete the collection I have to own this. And just like when I got the game for christmas a couple of years back (the worst christmas gift I got so far) I still think it sucks. The controls are still too sensitive, which makes platforming and turning a pain in the ass. The camera is just as bad as the controls. The gameplay is still lackluster. The story is still ridiculous and the voice acting still doesn't help. I found a couple of levels that actually look graphically pleasing, but the others look bland. The music, however, is the best part of the game. While some of them I don't really care for, there's still some good tracks.

So yeah, ny opinion remains the same for this game. This and Sonic Genesis for the GBA are still the worst Sonic games I have played so far.

Well, have a happy Halloween and stay away from this game if you haven't played it already.

10 years and counting.

Here's to the PS2. For bringing us some of the very best franchises and functions in gaming. May it last as long, if not longer, than the Atari 2600.:D
