I already have PS Plus. As long as Sony keeps the free games coming and Gaikai ends up being cool, then I will gladly pay yearly for the service. I have already gotten about $300 worth of games with PS Plus in three months, so I have already made six times what I paid.

I played the demo, and it was fun. I do not know reviewers are knocking points off because the singleplayer is not amazing. The game is meant to be played with friends. Of course a multiplayer centric game will not be as good in singleplayer.. If the biggest complaint is that the singleplayer is crap, then I am still picking this game up. The game felt like Resistance 2 co-op and that was a good thing in my opinion.

@berethor099 The original reviewer was Jane Douglas. This review was done by Carolyn Petit. Different reviewers will have different opinions. Not everybody who works for one company has to share the same opinion on a game.

@Hekteur It is just the fact that there are so many Mario games as of late. On the 3DS alone there is Mario Golf. Mario and Luigi, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Bros 2, Paper Mario, Mario 3D Land, Yoshi's Island 3DS. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Smash Bros. By next year, there will be 11 Mario franchises on 3DS. That is a ton of Mario in a short amount of time. No other system has had that much Mario in the same time frame.

@Donrock12 You still own nothing even with buying a physical copy. Wow, you own a disk with information printed on it. It is not like you actually own shares in the franchise. You do not own the actual code of the game. You cannot sell the game as your own. Sure, you can sell your COPY of the game, but that is it. Every game you buy digitally is tied to your account, so you do actually own something. You own a copy of a game just like with a disc or cartridge.

A physical copy of a game is just as legitimate as a digital copy. The only difference is that the system reads the printed information on the hard drive itself instead of on a cartridge or disc. Developers are not going to waste a whole DVD or Blu Ray disc for games that are under 2GB of memory. I do not blame them at all. The game is what matters, not what format it is in.

They should really fix the title of the article. It is Papo, not Papa.

@blackace @ZIMdoom What are you talking about? The slim came out in 09. There were triple A games on PS3 before MGS4, which came out in 2008. Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction and Uncharted were triple A for their time. Warhawk was also up there as well.

@Gekko135 Where was the gameplay in Overstike? There was none, so how can an actual game look better than a non-existent one?

PS4 is for playing PS4 games. SNES did not play NES games, N64 did not play SNES games, GC did not play N64 games, newer Wiis do not play GC games, Xbox 360 is not fully compatible with regular Xbox games, nor can you just plop the software in and start playing. Newer systems are for playing newer games. Your argument makes no sense. You are basically asking why should people have to play newer PS3 games on their systems? The simple answer is because newer PS3 titles just like older ones were built to be played on the PS3. If you want to pay $600 or more for a console again, then be my guest. I do not want Sony to add in a feature that will drive up the cost of a newer system to in order play games on a system I already have.

@Double_Wide @obsequies I believe Ken Levine means that gamers will not have to worry about PS4 games running the same as other platforms. The PS4 has a completely different architecture than PS3. If Sony added the cell processor into the PS4, then the system might be $600 or more. I would rather Sony focus on software for PS4 than waste resources on BC. Emulation and hardware chip is never 100%. The PS2 did not run PS1 games perfectly, and the PS3 does not run either previous generation of software perfectly. I would rather play games on the system that they were built for in first place. This way, you are guaranteed the game is going to run the way it should.
