The amount of time people spent playing games and watching movies/tv is almost even. It not like people only played games 10% of the time and watched TV the other 90%. People complaining about gaming resources being used for other things are worried for nothing. I do not see how having Netflix or Amazon on PS3 is taking up Sony's resources. It is not as if there are a shortage in the amount of games that come out every year.

The ones that were removed from the list are developers no one has even heard of. It seems like quite a few developers on the list have made almost nothing but handheld games, so the "lost" developers do not matter. Hello Games, Criterion, Ninja Theory, and CD Projekt RED are still there, so these indie developers that have hardly ever worked on a PlayStation platform do not even matter.

@CP2077 @horizonwriter @ziproy SNES games like Final Fantasy 6 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 were $80 a piece back when they came out. Killer Instinct was the same price as well. Super Street Fighter 2 was $70 when it first came out. I remember when $40 used to be the budget price.

Not many consoles have supported last generation controllers in a standardized fashion. SNES did not support NES controllers. N64 did not support SNES controllers. Game did not support N64 controllers. Each new generation brings new functions, which means that last generation controllers cannot play the new games. If a game requires the use of a touch pad from multiple players, how could a person with a PS3 controller participate?

People are also forgetting that the Wii U is not fully backward compatible with all Wii remotes. If you have a wii remote that has the motion plus built in, then you are fine. If you have the original Wii remote from the first three years of the console's life cycle, then you are screwed.

@iBuzz7S @brainiac1988 But not all PS2 games recognize PS1 controllers. I remember trying to play Dynasty Warriors 4 with a PS1 controller and it did not work at all.

These rumors are crap. $530 for the PS4 is too much. $430 is just dumb pricing. Sony is not going to make people pay for basic services. Free online was one of the biggest selling points for PS3. Sony is not going to screw that up. A PS Plus like option will still be available, but the general things will be free. A more realistic price point would be $400 for the basic model and $450 for the premium model.

@alrepairs @deathblow3 Right now, there is not that much next gen happening with Wii U. Mario bros U could have been done on Wii disregarding the somewhat improved graphics and HD capabilities. Nintendo is also forgetting that a huge amount of the Wii userbase have the original Wii remotes without the motion plus built in. The Wii U only recognizes the Wii controllers that have this feature. In other words. 2006 to 2009 Wii owners are screwed when it comes to multiplayer. No one is going to lay down $350 and then find out that all four controllers do not work.

@Kos1c Monster Hunter 3 was a game on Wii. Granted the Wii U version is updated and has more things to do, I would not really call the game a system seller. The Japanese might the game a third time, but I do not know how different the game is from the 3DS version. I am really hoping for a Retro game to come out in the fall.

@baxwam All I am saying is that third parties are finicky. Just because somebody publishes something, it does not mean a thing unless he or she own the IP in some way. Nintendo own Fatal Frame, so obviously the franchise will not go anywhere despite being developed by Tecmo. Nintendo does not own Bayonetta, Sega does. Sega could sell the Bayonetta ip to Nintendo to help its financial situation. Everybody is so quick to say to say that Bayonetta 2 will never hit other consoles because Nintendo is publishing it. Did not everybody say the same thing about Mass Effect 1? Honestly, I do not think Bayonetta 2 will matter that much in the long run for Nintendo. It will bring in Japanese gamers even if it is a timed exclusive. Once Retro Studios releases its game along with Mario Kart, 3D Mario adventure game, and Smash Bros, then people will forget all about the first couple of months.
