HOWEVER,
The study is old and I'm not going to look for it, but a study was published a few months ago that people like listening to lower quality music (i.e. bitrates of 192>) This means that not only could the music industry stop selling high quality music, but that is could also eventually become profitable to do so.

I agree the music is still good, but put a low quality MP3 on a good sound system it doesn't sound nearly as it does on your ipod, which makes the song (no matter how good it is) sound worse.
