@Marky360: the combat in the older GOW games was a joke...it was a button masher...this game sorely needed an upgrade in its fighting, glad they addressed it.

just another example of failure by Microsoft...yes Rare made the game, but Microsoft is an embarrassment when it comes to exclusives. What a waste of money the Xbox one X...I have used it about 3 times.

Spencer, what in the actual hell are you doing?

@Onipaladin: what makes it any more crazy than someone who pays 10 per month for netflix, or amazon, or pays for cable, etc. I am disgusted by people who watch reality tv, but hey, how they spend their dollars is up to them, just like those who choose to watch Ninja.

I would also suggest you get your head out of the sand and recognize the trend that kids dont watch cable anymore, they watch youtube and twitch...i mean, have you been asleep the last 5 - 10 years?

@Xylymphydyte:Wow...just wow lol... Your ramblings have actually made people dumber for having read them.

"Software tends to be the only game in town for a given product or job, then you have compatibility issues from decades of working with a given piece of software preventing an easy database shift to a new" lol what the what?

Software tends to be the only game in town for a given product or job lol? Really? IBM-Cognos, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, Pentaho, Microstrategy, Neteeza, tableau, might disagree with you. That is a very small subsection of software that I work in that all deliver a similar product in very different ways, and are by no means the only game in town.

"Gamers are fed up with digital marketplaces, microtransactions and always-on DRM, they're taking their money elsewhere and Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2 are excellent examples"

You have zero idea what you are talking about...and again, you list Destiny 2 and BF as games as a service when they are not lol...You still haven't answered my one question...what is your definition of games as a service? keep dodging the question lol. Aside from that, digital marketplace are bigger than ever lol, most games are sold digitally, brick and mortar stores are disappearing, which is why Microsoft was trying to find a way to adopt a gamestop model for digital games, which they have yet to do. Your so out of touch with anything you are talking about, you should just do everyone a favor and stop. DRM is the only area I am willing to give any sort of agreement, people hate it, but it has not really gone away, so that doesn't support your argument really either.

Wow...just so much wrong with your comments lol.

@Xylymphydyte: well, I'm not going to slander you or get into name calling, it is what I do for a living, not video games, but software, which is apt when discussing service models.

You don't think Game Pass or EA Access has anything to do with games a service? Well...if you say so lol. Game Pass is the subscription model that will likely handle all the new content from Xbox published games (as a start) moving forward, and they will eventually try and bring in the other Publishers under that banner, very similar to steam. One place to handle all those transactions would be highly profitable. It is the same reason MSFT was exploring the idea of buying steam a few months ago.

Anyhow...believe what you want, post again calling me a keyboard warrior lol...doesn't make much difference to me. I'm just telling you this is what happened in software, and to think that model wouldn't play well in gaming is ridiculous. People will fight it, like KimDotCom, etc, but they will turn out to be wrong.

I'm not sure why you keep bringing up destiny2 and battlefront 2...those are not games as a service lol, do you know what games as a service is? I would love to hear your definition. Actually, i don't care...im going home, its Friday, and I'm leaving early. Enjoy.
