it all depends on how the advertisements are pushed, if it's just a billboard in the background then who cares lol.

[QUOTE="GodofBigMacs"]I bet no one would be voting for unrelated gaming features if you said something less related, like in-game music or watching videos...Nintendo_Man

or DLC, in-game advertising

in game advertising isnt that bad original far cry on pc was made free because amd paid for advertisements in the game.

I have roughly $570 saved up and can either can a 360 or PS3. Which one should i choose all biased aside (although i doubt people will). I like the PS3 because PSN is free and it comes with built in Wifi. I like the 360 because the online community is better and more active but i dont want to string an ethernet cable to my router or pay $100 or rrod. Im kind of in the middle of them especially with a slim PS3 coming and the Elite 360 dropping to $299. So it all comes down to the (exclusive) games and there are both games i want to play on both. Killzone 2, MGS4, Resistance, MAG, God of War, etc. The 360 has some legit excluxives to but when i play games like CoD it will be kick ***. Help me pick one. And how good is the PS3 online community? And BTW dont say the Wii.

[QUOTE="randomwiiplayer"]

There is no such thing as a hardcore gamer! What is so hard to understand about that? A gamer is a gamer. It is possible to like shooters AND Mario games,yes I know shocking for you "hardcore" gamers. There is no such thing as a hardcore game either. What you think is "hardcore" could be "casual" to someone else. It doesn't matter if your "hardcore" or not,if you like the classic franchises that built gaming as we know it,buy a Wii.

AHUGECAT

There is such thing as a "hardcore" gamer, and they do play shooters. Not first person shooters, but real shooters. Like Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Contra, Lords of Thunder, Mega Turrican, Galatic Attack, Space Harrier, Darius Gaiden and Super Metroid. Mario games are also hardcore (gameplay over graphics people).

A "casual" gamer is the type that buys Madden every year, or thinks Call of Duty is a "hardcore shooter" (it's a great game, but definitely not that). A non-gamer (which is what the Wii caters to) just plays games like Chicken Shoot or Carnival Games here and there.

Quake's designers have created Deathmatch environments that reward skill rather than luck, and are filled with nooks and crannies and other lovely places to hide while you wait for the unwitting opponent to stroll by.

in first person shooters today you cant even tell who really is a noob right off the bat or a good player because the character movement has no learning curve takes no skills to move around like quake or unreal no practice.

in quake and unreal on pc if you see a person who isnt using strafe jumping or dodge jumping to a great extent than they are more than likely a noob, who the hell just runs around normal in quake or unreal?

I have seen alot change in the video game industry over the past 20 years, there's still some alright games but they're all still casual first person shooters no hardcore twitch shooters anymore , but i really do think the quality of games has dropped these days.
