@CharlieSpot @carolynmichelle She talked about existing characters having to change. Women in games having to dress in a certain manner. That I don't agree with. She think they should change, I don't.
@CharlieSpot @carolynmichelle Also Charlie, petitions do have a weight on politicians, we were able to lift ban and force US gov. to grant Visas all thanks to petitions and such :P
@CharlieSpot @carolynmichelle Anyone could tell that metroid is not about objectifying woman and showing them as some kinda reward just by looking at the ratio of game play to story line and yet I see people who say she was made a woman to sell. Metroid is popular because of the gameplay and not Samus.
@carolynmichelle Lara Croft was not made to cater to male's needs, nor Samus, nor Chun Li nor any of the characters she talked about in the article. She made it seem as if they were. If Capcom and Nintendo wanted that then there's the porn industry for that.
@carolynmichelle It's unfair to those games and those who made them. to made it seem as if developer's intention was to cater to male audience's desires and needs? I think it's a serious accusation.
@carolynmichelle But she's making a project with character from other games. That game is based on her own perception of those characters. This is where we don't agree. I see nothing wrong with those women in games and I certainly don't want them to be altered or see all women in future games fit her standard. While I realize that all she did was say her opinion but opinions have a weight sometimes. They can push lawmakers into drawing lines.
