It's recommended that you charge it fully before turning it on for the first time, though there's no reason why you couldn't play with it during its initial charge.dzimm
huh? Charge it all the way before turning it on for the first time, but I can play with it while it is charging? Play with it while it is off? Clarification please.

Also, I came up with an idea to keep the road safe. I'll play AR games while driving home, that way I can keep one eye on the road at all times!

I am looking for some advice on best battery practices to preserve the 3-5 hour duration as long as possible.

Question: Should i let my 3DS charge completely before playing?

I had a phone years ago that got half charged by a car charger as its initial charging. after that the battery was never good for more than a few hours instead of a few days. Is that something i should be worried about here?

Will it be okay to start playing right away while it is in its cradle (while it is plugged into the car charger as i speed back to my house dividing my attention between the road and SSFIV3D)?

I can't wait for a Rayman 3D review. The closest I have been able to find is this compilation of tweets.

I'm not selling anything to directly credit to my 3DS, but I am considering selling my DS lite and replacing it with a GBA SP or GBA Micro once I have a 3DS.

[QUOTE="dzimm"]

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]It's really sad when IGN is the only site so far to honestly tell what the 3DS offers right now for userskayoticdreamz

Ah yes, the good old "Only negative reviews are trustworthy" routine.

irony here is the ign thread is full of only good reviews are trustworthy routine.

coincidence, not irony... lets see, "IGN gives 3ds bad review" irony could be argued if IGN squinted while looking at the 3DS for a second time. did it piss anyone else off to see that guy pretend to struggle putting the 3DS in his pocket. I wish that scene were followed with him easily dropping a DSi in his pocket before smiling and giving the camera a thumbs up.

Just wondering, are these AR Cards actually those plastic carpets? :P I know that there are small cards too but would they actually sell those big ones? rubber-chicken
I think all of the official cards are small. As far as I can see, all of the large cards seen are homemade... aside from Satoru Iwata's big Mii.

I believe I would just get a good image of the card, blow it up/print on a mosaic of paper and tape it together. Just as in the video that AstralDrmz linked to. I think i will trim my margins rather than color them in, that seems like too much effort.

I'm a bit worried that developers will rely on the 3D to sell games and make them crap, like the wii and ds.

there is shovel-ware on all systems, and the Wii and DS both have quite a bit of it, but the DS has a huge number of great games even if the entire library contains a large percentage of pure crap. Wii has some gems as well... ... ...

giant mario made by giant AR card

It has been shown that a large AR card will produce a large scale Mario or Mii model, and I am wondering if the same could be done with the ? block card to create a large scale Archery, etc AR game.

I imagine testing this with a full 8.5x11 and a 3x3 mosic print taped and maybe laminated. Giant archery would be cool in the backyard or something.

Does anyone have a hi res file of the ? block card that i can use for this?

Has anyone heard if this has already been tested?
