@rex500: i feel the same and i'm forcing myself to get through uncharted 4 which despite it being an amazing game, isn't take any priority over bf1 at the moment. Not really sure why, again I've been a gamer all my life and played every game in the book. I think its as you say to do with human opponents and not AI.
How is this even going to compete against Apple and the zillion handheld devices they have in circulation and the growing number of games on the App store?
Aww, good luck Dan. I am genuinely sad because being now in my early 30's, with a young family, I have have less time for video games but I always found Gamespot (and Danny) kept me connected and interested. Danny's content has been amazing - the Point really is incredible. Feels like life is moving too fast! But anyway, all the best mate.
I think it's fine to have subjective views come into a review. Problem is the reviewer they assigned to this game. 23 hours plus 20?
Ds3 warranted gamespots best reviewer onto this game as its a unique game that many of its unique fans consider close to flawless (especially ds1). They should have paid Kevin Vord to do it!
Discrediting it's score for the reasons mentioned in the review is inconsistent and disproportionate with previous reviews for souls games.
Without having played it yet I know ds3 should be assigned a score of what is universally considered a 9 or better.
Honestly, when I look back, the most fun/enjoyment i had this year with any one single game was Tales of the Borderlands. I felt like that with The Wolf Among Us in previous years.
