umm the proof is in the games, if PS3 = 360 technically then where are the games to prove it on the 360?

He is right PS3 sold more software this year but that might change when Reach launches :P but it has GT5 as well so its gonna be close.

Problem is, Your analogy assessment isn't reality anymore.

You see, PS3 has sold more than XBOX 360 Year Over Year. What does that mean? It means PS3 sold more units than XBOX in its 1st year. More in its second, and more in its 3rd.

Not only that, but PS3 has sold more retail software in this fiscal year (115 million) than XBOX 360 (103 million) as well.

Uncharted 2 sold 2m+ and halo 3 sold much more, and uncharted 2 still has a higher average score.

So when in a argument why do people say "Halo Reach will score better, and sell more than any game on ps3 this year"
