You have bought several games to keep you busy for a while.

I haven't notice any fighting games on your collection. Maybe it is not your style, but the PS2 have some really good ones, such as Tekken 4 and 5, Soul Calibur 3, Street Fighter Anthology and DBZ Budokai 3, among others.

I'm thinking long and hard about a fighting game. I do have a PS3 so Virtua Fighter 5 looks pretty tempting. However, the only fighting game I ever really enjoyed was Soul Caliber 2. I didn't get the third one because it seemed to be a lot like SC 2. However, those games are Weapons fighters and I'm not sure how I'll like the martial arts fighting

We all know that over time technology becomes cheaper. This has never been more apparent than with storage space. It really wasn't that long ago that we had this 3.5" square that could only hold 1.44 MB of data as our primary means of sharing data among computers. Now we have ipods and USB drives with storage measured in GIGABYTES. And dont' forget that they are cheap and plentiful. Hard drives are the same way. Buy a Dell PC tomorrow and then open up their catalog three months later. You'll see a PC with a bigger hard drive, for the same price. I would be very surprised to find out that Sony is paying the same amount for a 60GB drive today that they were paying six months ago. They are most likely paying less. What would you like Sony to do with the extra money? It's probably not enough to cut the retail price of the system so would you be happy if they just pocketed the money? Wouldn't you rather they just upgrade to a larger hard drive, for the same price, and maintain the same retail price of the system? That makes sense to me. The 80GB PS3 is probably quite real. However, when it is released, it will be the END of the 60GB. You might see retailers selling them at discounts "while supplies last", but that is it. There will not be multiple SKU's like the 360. Sony made the HD easily interchangeable for a reason, and this is probably it. As storage space becomes cheaper, they can continually release an enhanced PS3 at the same price point. And for those of us who spent the money early, we can thank sony for making HD upgrades cheap and easy.

[QUOTE="Giangio"]FFT, FF7... _Tobli_

What's the point of mentioning two overrated titles?

FF-9 is far and away my favorite game for any system ever. It had a perfect cast of characters. The world was incredible. The story was engaging. It had just the right blend of humor and seriousness. Amazing game altogether. As for FF7 and FF Tactics being overrated.....I'm not so sure. If FF7 wasn't your first RPG then it was at least a HUGE leap over what you had previously come to expect from a game. It was ground breaking and it changed the way you feel about RPG's. I think alot of people are mistaking that nostalgia for greatness. Though, it was a great game, just not the best ever. Final Fantasy Tactics was not overrated in my opinion. For me that was the game that tought me to eat with one hand so I could still play the game and not starve to death. I learned to function at work on three to five hours of sleep per night because of this game. "One more battle and I can unlock the next summon spell" It was addictive in a way that no other game could ever be.

duuude how many games do you need. Anyway you don't seem to have any sports games : SSX tricky and 3 are great, Pro evo 6 is like the best game ever (fifa is awful). You could also try out somthing different like a time crysis game (with a gun of course) TC3 would be the one to get. Did u mention price of persia? sorry i can't remember, they are good games. You NEED at least one dynasty warriors game!!! 5 preferably. Return of the king is a great hack n slash. Ricko1234
Duuuuude....It's not that I necessarily NEED those games. Odds are that I probably won't get through all of them. I just like having them because I know that they are good. It's nice to have a fresh game to play whenever some free time comes up. Sometimes my wife will go visit family for a weekend and its nice to be able to walk over to the shelf and grab something new that you know is good without having to go to the store and rummage through the bargain bin. Plus, I missed SO many games on the PS1 because I didn't have the money to buy them. I only made the investment if I KNEW that I was going to have the time to finish it all the way through. I wish I had gotten my hands on Xenogears and some of the other great PS1 RPG's. I'm not about to make the same mistake with my PS2. Used games are cheap and plentiful right now and I can afford to get them so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Besides, its not quite as daunting an investment as it seems. I got those 9 games for about $135. Also consider that VC Stories, SOTC, and Okami I bought new. So those three games totaled $80. The other six came to $55. I would be stupid not to buy them now.

For RPGs I would suggest Suikoden 3, the Shadow Hearts series and Dragon Quest VIII.  For action you should also check out the Onimusha games.celtic1962
Got em already, sorry I didn't mention them earlier.

I would have to say that X-2 was my LEAST favorite FF. They took Yuna, a selfless, valiant summoner willing to sacrifice herself for the good of the world and then they turned her into some mutated combination of Christina Aguilera and Lara Croft. Plus, the game was too short. (side note: Job system = AWESOME) I never played 11. I'm just not into the whole MMORPG scene. I'm also not interested in paying a monthly fee for a game I already paid $70 for. After that, I would say that 8 is definitely the worst by quite a bit. Most of the characters were forgettable, the junction system was WAY to cumbersome, drawing magic was completely boring, and the summon spells took way too long and it made every single battle a test of patience. On the other hand, 9 is far and away, hands down, my favorite game on any system ever. The game was just brilliant

I realized something today. I'm done with my PS2, or at least I will be soon. I'm having some surgery and I'm going to be stuck on the couch for a little while. So yesterday, I went out and bought some PS2 games to keep me entertained. I bought Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus, Killzone, Vice City Stories, Okami, The Getaway, Max Payne, True Crime, and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. I also heard that Burnout 3 was good but they didn't have it. I'm going to try another store today. That spree brought my library to about 70+ games. I already have all of the Final Fantasy, Ratchet & Clank, Xenosaga, Disgeaa, Grand Theft Auto, Hot Shots Golf, and Gran Tourismo Games. I have God of War 1 & 2, Devil May Cry 1 & 3, Metal Gear 1-3, and a whole slew of sports games. What else is there? Is this the end? Have I exhausted all of the "must buy" games for the PS2? I have a PS3 and about 5 games. There is nothing else out there that I want right now. I'll pick up FEAR, Rainbow 6, MGS, FF, and Heavenly Sword when they come out

I had the same problem. It's definitely a ground loop. Just get a 99cent adapter for your power cord. Problem solved
