God this is sad. When Devil May Cry went multi, everyone in the 360 camp pointed and laughed. Now that Ace Combat goes multi they resort to pathetic backpedaling. It was announced for the 360, and NOT the PS3. Then it was announced as multi. That is called LOSING an exclusive. If you disagree and and want to hold on to your "It was never an exclusive to begin with!" nonsense, go ahead. But I can make the same argument for Devil May Cry. Sony never had any contractual commitment from capcom that made the game exclusive. That's just the way it always was because the PS2 sold tens of millions more consoles than the Xbox.

I think this is great. Obviously the developer feels that the PS3 has a large enough install base, or that the install base is growing fast enough to warrant the cost of porting the game. I just find it strange that when Devil May Cry went multi-platform, everyone saw it as a HUGE blow for Sony and it was the beginning of the end for the PS3. Now this happens and it's barely news.

OH MY GOD. This guy made his own video response four months after the original. it is even funnier. Check this out "After months of the PS3 lauchment it would be good to analyze how things have been going" "The 4 most expected games for the PS3 are not coming out any day now" - Fall is not that far away. It's not uncommon for a console to have its great games start coming out during its second X-mas season. And don't forget about the other half dozen highly anticipated games coming out for the PS3 this summer. But I guess this guy is right, it is MUCH better to keep fans waiting 2 years like Microsoft has with Halo 3 "It is very simple, the PS3 has only sold 1.4 million units, while the Xbox 360 has sold 10.5 million units" - I thought the PS3 has sold over 3 million? Which is MORE than the 360 sold when it was four months old. "Virtua Fighter 5....has just sold 63000 copies." How long had VF5 been out on February 24th? "While Lost Planet, a game only availble for the Xbox 360 sold 1 million copies in just one day" - Is that true? That seems a little farfetched. Someone please confirm this? That's all I'm going to say right now. Im only 2 minutes into this thing and it's already making me want to set stuff on fire.

The PS3 will succeed because the competition is supported by nitwits like this. Let's ignore the misspellings, bad grammar, and the sentences that ended with prepositions for a minute and analyze the content. Sony has sold 88,000 consoles.....ok, the video says that it was posted Nov 17th 2006. How long was the PS3 out then? A week? My favorite though has to be the list of games that were allegedly cancelled for the PS3. You can cross Splinter Cell right off of that list. And some of the others sounded made up. "Dark RPG"?? Maybe I'm wrong but that just sounds fake. It's 2007 for christ's sake. Surely they can make up better names than that for a game. He forgot to include "Fast Car Racer", "Kill with Guns", and "Kooky Character Platforming Awesomeness" on that list.

[QUOTE="jerrt"]i've got one a little better. i listened to a STORE Manager tell a customer that WAS ALREADY INTERESTED in buying a ps3, that they constantly broke down, and that the backwards compatibility was less than 50%. now i know you are thinking what i was thinking originally, "is she talking about the 360?" then she proceed to say how the ps2 games BC was about 50%, and the ps1 games BC was less than that. and then she even added that of the 50% for the ps2 alot of them had small glitches and problems. now, if i'm recalling properly [which i am] i heard many media outlets comment directly to phil harrison how the hardware of the ps3 was quite sound. and if i'm remembering properly. the original japanese/usa ps3 hardware had something like 98% BC rate, and even the european console with out the EE had 72% all i'm saying is that she is very lucky that i was at the other end of the counter, and that my fiance called me on my cell right when i was starting to get real angry. that is just blatant lying for no good reason. i mean even if you remove the sony/microsoft aspect of it.... is it really good business sense to down-sell a customer who has already set in their own mind they want the more expensive of the options. i mean, yes thinking about the customer first is a nice thing to see, but she was lying about everything she told this woman. i'm starting to believe that the only reason i didn't get a job working for EB/GameStop when i interviewed was because i leaned more towards sony than i did microsoft.

It almost seems that these clerks are 360 owners who KNOW the truth and know that the PS3 is technically more powerful and that games will eventually evolve to the point where the 360 is obsolete. They feel compelled to intervene because they aren't going to let all of their hard earned dollars go to waste on a system that they just bought a year ago. Do you know how many magazine subscriptions they had to sell in order to buy a PS3 now? It's staggering just to think about it. I used to work at FuncoLand, and I gave my honest opinion on which console I thought was best. I backed up my support for the PS1 over the N64 with facts and I never resorted to sleazy tactics like this. It is frustrating because you know, that deep down, this guy KNOWS he is spouting crap. He knows that there isn't a single shred of remotely credible evidence to back up his claim. I swear to God, the next time this happens, I am going straight to the counter and asking to reserve a copy of FF13 for the 360. I will demand to speak to the manager if I don't get it. I will pretend like I know nothing about games and I will act as though I am swallowing this guy's story. When the game doesn't show up on any release schedule, his lies will be exposed. I'm going to a different gamestop tommorrow, hopefully this won't happen again.

Just go onto Gamestop.com and look at all the PS2 games. You can sort by price and you can check inventories at your local store. Even if there was a list, alot of the GH games are out of print and only available used anyway. Just go to Gamestop and browse around, or you can go on their website and sort the list of PS2 games by price

I have a PS2, one of the newer versions (slim) and one day, it just stopped working. No warning, no buildup of "disc read errors" or anything. It just quit. It won't even turn on. I can see the red light on the front next to the power button. But when I push the power button, nothing happens. If I unplug the console, the red light goes out. It comes back on when I plug it back in, but I cannot get the console to power up. Help

Didn't GameSpot do a piece on this? A "History of Metal Gear" article that sums up alot. It was a while ago, I'm thinking it might have been way back when they were videogames.com
