are games that are coming out for like xbox and ps3 going to be able to use the ps3's power to the fullest or are developers going to have to just make it for like xbox but also ps3. r_mueller
This is the reason that Sony has lost some exclusives. It is also the reason why Sony will not pay for new exclusives, or for the ones that it already has. Bottom line, game developers are in it to make money. The 360 has a huge install base, and the PS3's install base is growing fast. If a developer makes a game that can be played on both systems, then you can bet it will be mutli-platform. No developer can afford to ignore either market. However, Sony's exclusives will be the games that are are technologically superior to anything on other consoles. They will use the power of the PS3, and if they do go multi, the other consoles will be left with stripped down, cut up, compressed crap.

Snake was used by the government as the catalyst to activate the FoxDie virus in the Genome army and in each of the six members of FOXHOUND. While he was there they also asked him to investigate FOXHOUNDS ability to launch a nuclear weapon. Turns out that they did have the ability because they had stolen Metal Gear Rex. Snake fights all six members of FOXHOUND and kills them all except for Ocelot who managed to escape with Metal Gear's test data. The end of the game reveals Ocelot talking to the President about the metal gear data.

If I were a less mature person I would use that page to write a bad review of the game before trading it in. Or I could put plot spoilers there. Or worse, use it to start chain letters Those notes pages represent so much untapped potential for the douchebags of the world.....

Every game I've ever had for as long as I can remember had an instruction manual page for "notes". I've owned 200+ console games in my lifetime and I have NEVER written a single note in my instruction manual. Anyone use this? Ever?

I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure that blu-rays will support UP TO 1080p. That means that they will play in 1080P and anything below it. The PS3 plays games and movies just fine on a regular old standard definition tube tv, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with your TV. Also, Forget the 20GB model. They are impossible to find, probably because they aren't being made anymore. The PS3 takes a chunk of your hard drive away right out of the box and reserves it for firmware updates and stuff. My 60GB only came with 55GB of free space. Many games will do a partial install to help load faster. Oblivion is like 4-5gb but so far all the other games are relatively small. However, as you can see, as bigger and better games come out, you will find that you need the extra space. Also, it never hurts to have a few free gigs in case the PS Store ever gets any momentum and starts releasing demos at a reasonable pace.

I'm not sure that buying a developer really fits into Sony's long-term strategy. Please don't hold me to this because I'm a little vague on the details but I remember some time ago that Sony stopped producing games under the 989 label stating that it was going to develop all of its first party games under its own name. Though that doesn't preclude Sony from buying the Intellectual Propery (such as Sonic) and developing a game in-house. However, I see it as unlikely. I don't think that Sega has anything that Sony wants. Sony's first party games are stellar, highly-anticipated, games. I also disagree when you say that there are parallels between the PS3 and the Saturn/Dreamcast. Both Sega's consoles sold incredibly poorly. The PS3 is selling strong. In fact, Sony called this their best launch ever and only missed their goal of shipping 2 million consoles by year end by about five days. They have sold more consoles five months after launch than the competition has and all signs point to continued growth, especially with the lineup of AAA games between now and x-mas.
