Well I'm not sure what you mean by Nintendo being known for it's RPG's and Sony being known for it's 3rd person adventure games. Most of the great RPG's of the last 5 years were all on PS2. And Nintendo has Zelda which is arguably the best 3rd person action game EVER. But that aside, Genji is not that bad. Yes the camera is horrible, Yes the dialogue sucks. But the actual fighting is fun. Sure you can button mash, but you can also try to be more calculating in your moves and do some pretty cool stuff, and that makes the game much easier. Splinter Cell just came out, and that is 3rd person. Also, are you aware that the PS3 plays PS2 games like God of War, Prince of Persia, Shadow of the Colossus and many others? Just be patient, there are TONS of good games coming out over the next 12 months.

so personally i would suggest that if u can wait then wait 2 e3 and after u read about everyfing they announce THEN decide when 2 buy it but play resistance seriously becuase it myt b a series 2 last the life of the ps3

Umm if you had a choice between reading text for an hour or spending round about 100 for every MGS game what would you do?!
I wouldn't say it made me cry, but the climax of Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits brought out a significant emotional response in me. Essentially the game begins with two stories, One for the humans, and one for the demons. And obviously, your first reaction is that the demons are evil and the humans should win. But after playing for a while you begin to empathize with the Demon's plight and once the two stories cross, you have to make a choice. I was dumbfounded. It was like choosing between two of your own children. I couldn't do it. I had to make two save files and play it out both ways.
If you ask me, they should really have demos out within a week (+/-) of a game's release date. Sony is going to require developers to include content for Home, why not require them to make a demo as well? FEAR is coming out in two weeks, we SHOULD see that as a demo, but it doesn't mean that we will. I can understand that some games have really complicated story lines or gameplay mechanics that aren't exaclty "pick up and play" so it might be difficult to make a demo for something like Splinter Cell or Rainbow Six. But come on, how hard is it to make a demo of Virtua Fighter? Two fighters, one arena, one game mode. Demo done. I WANT A HOT SHOTS GOLF 5 DEMO !!!
