In short... No... Since most laptops support output functions and so far none I've seen has input. I'm sure there are some laptops out there that do, but very rare... Sure there are alternatives such as external capture cards, but the delay caused would get to the point that it would actually effect your gameplay IMO.

I also suggest you get a decent LCD screen, all you need is to buy a 360 VGA cable and get some external speakers (since most LCDs dont have built in speakers). The ones used here in Japan are usually the IO-data screens, since they are tested with 360 for compatibility.

The problem isn't that too many casual games like party games being produce (since I can choose not to buy them, or just stick with wii sports), but the fact that games like these sell much better than any quality effort out there.

See what sells on the Wii, 360 and PS3. Game development trends will drift towards that demographic, esp 3rd party developers. Why work hard and spend development money on graphics on the Wii, when doing that gurantees no sales? Might as well put out some party game, since the profit margin is bigger. Zack and Wiki, is good example. If It was probably Zack and Luigi, it'd probably sell 10 times a much.

None worthwhile IMO. Folklore is a hybrid action JRPG. But I don't the RPG elements are all there. It's more action IMO.

PS3 so far have enchanted arms. FF13 is way far. I assuming 2009 in Japan, and 2010 in the states. I personally think their waiting until the PS3 numbers in Japan pick up before putting out the game. Wii's and mobile gaming are dominanting the whole market these days.

Though, I am in Japan and we have Disgaea 3 on the PS3 (It was out a few months back).

TheSystemLord1

WWHHAATT?!!?

This is one of my most anticipated PS3 games! What were the reviews like?

I`m not sure of the reviews. Japan isn't too interested on reviews, No online sites except famitsu. But I heard its pretty good. Graphics are not a huge change, just in HD. But Disgaea aint about the graphics IMO.

yea i do already own oblivion for the pc so i guess it would kinda be a waste of money. but i seriously have/beaten pretty much all of the rpgs u guys listen for the ps2. i "destroyed" the final fantasy series (meaning i beat almost all of them with crazy good stuff) and ive loved the kingdom hearts series. so i think my best bet is LO cuz its made up of one of the founding fathers of final fantasy (i think). so im leaning heavily on LO. im going to my local game store today to pick up a game, i have 60 bucks and im leaving in like 3-4 hours so all ure posts will still count till then :Pywywyw

Then what are you waiting for!... Support Sakaguchi-san! And Uematsu-san (original composer for FF)! Both are involved in LO... I love Uematsu's work, and I'd buy LO just to experience the music.

[QUOTE="SnoSlider-PS3-"]How many of you poor unfortunate underpriveledged deprived starving lost souls are playing on standard tv's. Stop spending your money on games and save for the HDTV!ghostjga

Sadly im one of those, but mostly because im at collage, all the part time jobs are taken and live in norway where the taxes kills anyone that tries to buy something. The tax is 25% of what the original inport price is for the store -_- so if it costs the store 2000$ for a HD Tv it will cost us a additional 500$ for it, but one more thing, we have to buy it with a Tv Licence because of the channel monopoly here so that adds another 700$ to get a Tv. Thats a Total of 3200$ for a 2000$ Tv with Tax. Sux doesnt it?

Buy a LCD monitor and a VGA cable. Problem solved! No TV Tax.
