From this statement, do they mean no support what so ever? even emulation? It's seems so for this statement... Even the ones without the EE but use emulation do at least mention the support for PS2 titles.

The best time to by a console its at its peak... Cheaper price, More games, Less hardware issues...

Why people buy a system for the sake of the future is beyond me... Buy a 360 now and when the games you like come out, buy the PS3... It'll be cheaper and better at that time...

Conclusion, buy the console for the games...

Can't say that. People had the same doubt when final fantasy annouced that it was going to do the same back then.

Wii is about innovativeness... why not take the risk and take the jump by adding another characteristic on the characters with voice.

I personally would love to see zelda speak for the first time in a nintendo developed game.

Honestly don't get me wrong... I love the Halo franchise... and Bungie is an exceptional company...

But if you look at their records of past games, I don't see anything worth while besides the Halo franchise. And they basically became as big as they are now thanks to Microsofts investment in PR since the xbox days.

Halo 3 despite being extremely fun is kinda out of date in terms of shooting mechanics compared to the other FPSes coming out.

Now if Epic made an FPS for the Wii... that would definitely be something!

I'll have to agree with the TC... At least in Japan.

The biggest retailer here in Osaka is Yodobashi and their usually the ones with their stocks flowing fast (since its easily accessed compared to small shops).

The Wii has constantly been sold out up till probably 2 months ago. Now you can just walk in and buy one. They have loads of them in the back (visible behind the counter).

DS Lites on the other hand are still sold out in Yodobashi... hahaha...

Nutshell... fact:

Midway (publisher) : UT next year!

Epic (developer) : We are TRYING to get it done this year.

PS to lhbchen: Don't blame brian sinclair on the news, he's just reporting on a annoucement made by Midway. Almost every major website has the news.

Midway the publisher annouced that their fiscal earnings will be without UT3 this year.

EPIC say they can make it. If Epic does make it, It will all depend on who has the last call on when it comes out.

I'm sure Midway made that statement based on Epic's feedback on the develeopment of the game. Given their (Midway) experience with delays, probably thats why they arent too optimistic about the release date.
