Last Remnant is for both platforms. PS3 and Xbox 360. It was previewed in the Microsoft press conference in TGS.

The Exclusive for Xbox 360 is Infinte Undiscovery. Its a collaboration of Microsoft+Tri-Ace+Square Enix.

As a developer, it totally determines on which platform is more actractive to develop for... MGS and FF was originally on Nintendos boat before they jumped on the Sony band wagon... Because it was the best for their company...

I think the competition between PS3 and 360 healthy for the industry... Cause it means developers get the best environment to actually develop games... The reason I think PS3 are losing exclusives are because:

1) Better development kits for developers

2) Larger user base

3) Microsoft charges a lower percentage (of the game price) compared to Sony to publish games on the their systems

4) Microsoft do a better job of marketing games than Sony (thus, higher software attach rate)

All Sony needs to do is make it attractive for developers to develop for their system. Only will then, will the PS3 shine. And also most japan companies see the Xbox 360 as an easy way to distribute their games in the US. Since the Hardcore gaming population is shinking in Japan (due to the Wii - more casual), more game companies are going multi-platform.

Understand the technolgy... HD is not simply determined by numbers... In anycase, I kinda think the topic is misleading... And the TC original post should contain the whole context rather than a part.

Both systems are awesome...

Only difference is 360 has better games now... And PS3 will pick-up later...

I suggest you purchase 360 now since this is the peak of the system... The best time to buy any console...

PS3 though a good system, its a tad expensive and they havent brought their big guns out. I'd suggest buying PS3 the earliest at christmas 2008. Good games and a much lower price tag.

Since 360's forte is online gaming, its important to jump on the band wagon when the games are hot. So you get the most out of the community and the experience.

PS3 is has some single player goodness coming along, but since its single player you take your time and enjoy the games any time through its life cycle.

So my advise, buy 360 now and buy ps3 later when its cheap and the AAA titles come out.

It's just plain boring IMO... the controls are ok... rent it, and save that money for to buy something with quality like ratchet and clank... pour money on companies that deserve it...

PEOPLE!! Don't form your opinion without even TRYING the remote!! Of course Sony won't put in the market a controller that only has lie....5 hours of battery life!

rogerjak

My PSP would like a word with you...

Sony dent in its armour has always been battery issues. PSP got scorn when it first came out for its short battery life and they got hell for the faulty batteries in laptops (if i am not mistaken) bursting a few months back...

Sony's is at the peak of technology in most fields... But when it comes to battery technology, even the japanese are a bit doubtful of sony...

Yeah. I agree with the comments above. I've never been a xbox owner, until the 360. The PS3 will have its day of glory, but for now its now yet here... Not this year at least... It's ok to enjoy other systems and other games as long as you can afford it... A gamer is a gamer what ever system their playing it on... IMO its all about the games, not the companies.
