[QUOTE="SnoSlider-PS3-"]How many of you poor unfortunate underpriveledged deprived starving lost souls are playing on standard tv's. Stop spending your money on games and save for the HDTV!handag

Buy a LCD monitor and a VGA cable. Problem solved!

Sadly im one of those, but mostly because im at collage, all the part time jobs are taken and live in norway where the taxes kills anyone that tries to buy something. The tax is 25% of what the original inport price is for the store -_- so if it costs the store 2000$ for a HD Tv it will cost us a additional 500$ for it, but one more thing, we have to buy it with a Tv Licence because of the channel monopoly here so that adds another 700$ to get a Tv. Thats a Total of 3200$ for a 2000$ Tv with Tax. Sux doesnt it?

Lost Odyssey... If you love FF... It's good to hold you of until the rumoured 2010 relaease of FF13. LO story is great (one of my best experiences, 35 hours in).

Oblivion is also solid, but I thought you mentioned you played Oblivion on the PC? If you did the GOTY version is not worth buying new game for.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But if your waiting for JRPGs on the PS3, you need to wait quite a while. The earliest one coming is Eternal Sonata I think. Though, I am in Japan and we have Disgaea 3 on the PS3 (It was out a few months back).

[QUOTE="Always-Honest"][QUOTE="Sn0wOn420"][QUOTE="medhopeful"]

Gears of War isn't even that great of a game, so who cares? It is alot fun and, gotta give credit where credit is due, the system for ducking behind walls etc is pretty good, though not nearly as innovative as 360 users would like to think. Other than though, it is a very short with very boring weapons (chainsaw gun? please...it is cool like the first two times and besides that half the time it barely works). The story was hardly developed, though I will say in their defense it was intriguing; I expect they will develop it alot more in the second one. In my opinion, and I am trying to be as unbiased as possible, Resistance is the better game - better story, better weapons, and better graphics. I can hear people moaning about me saying better graphics already. The graphics of the two games are both great, but they are also two different styles of graphics. I just happen to prefer the style that Resistance used. Only thing that Gears might have on Resistance is the multiplayer, but I wouldn't know because I didn't get to play multiplayer on that, I am just basing that comment on what I heard. Even with that though, Resistance has great multiplayer.

In other words, be happy with what you have because you aren't missing out on much.

Oh you're just mad because you wont be playing the BEST GAME EVER on the 360 Obviously!!

you two are both a little over the edge.. gears is a must play game. imo it was the first true next gen console game and it was great.. best game ever... well, not mine, but i guess that's subjective.. Cover system was GREAT!! and the graphics were far more advanced than resistance (but how will Resistance 2 look??... probably fantastic.)

How am I over the edge? The graphics are great (for instance, the part where you are on the train and you look out the windows, the scenery there is amazing), but it is a different style than Resistance, which also has impressive graphics and its own great moments. Personally (and I said this was a matter of opinion), I prefer Resistance's grittier style. As for the cover system, I addressed that and we agree that it was great. However, you conveniently only discuss the two aspects of the game that are by far its best. You fail to discuss the horrible, boring weapons (a HUGE part of the game since it is a shooter), poorly developed story, and way too short gameplay. Those three things prevent me from labeling it a great game that has me salivating at the thought of a sequel. I just don't understand why everyone thinks its so great. Well, yeah, I do, it's because everyone wants Sony to fail miserably and 360 to succeed (the whole underdog thing I guess) so they jump on everything 360 does without thought or consideration.

AGAIN! NOT SAYING GEARS OF WAR IS A BAD GAME, FAR FROM IT, BUT ALSO FAR FROM BEING GREAT!!!

You forgot CO-OP. Made hell of a difference. No offence, I can understand why you love resistance, but IMO, it's average.

Oh man... you don't know how refreshing LO is. No its not the music or the battle system or even the setting. It's the characters. Finally an RPG with a matured lead. The story the standard RPG fare, but the character development is so good. Makes me think how bad character development was in FF12. ... urghhh...

[QUOTE="DaLegendKilla92"][QUOTE="neversummer75"]

[QUOTE="DaLegendKilla92"]Honestly, in your position, I would get a Wii ( no fanboyin) since it has a better library than the PS3 currently and has a way smaller chance of breaking. Plus, you wouldn't feel guilty having 2 systems since the Wii is a good secondary console to pass the time and Smash Brawl is coming out soon. However, the PS3 does share some 360 games you might like, and has the Blu-Ray, but the PS3 is $400, and a $60 game to buy with it.....I wouldn't do it. Other than that, wait a month......neversummer75

I'm just so fed up. I may just sell my xbox360 when I get it back and not get another system until the next xbox comes out. Maybe by then it will be built better. I'm just so frustrated right now.

I'll keep you in my prayers. Look up the Wii though, PM me with which type of games you like and I will tell you what the Wii has. Honestly, I don't know much about the PS3 that you already don't know about. Don't give up yet.

Thanks for the advice but I dont really want the Wii...I can't see myself playing it all the much. To be honest I don't really want the PS3 as well. The only real system that I have interest in is the xbox360. However, its built like a piece of crap. I really have no other choice. I just dont have it in me anymore to deal with all of this crap every other month.

I got sick after returning my xbo360 twice. My suggestion, If you love your xbox360 to death, you can waste money like I did and trade it in for a xbox 360 with the new falcon chip. Much much cooler with less noise and lower power consumption.

But like Staryoshi said, try to get all 3 systems if you can.

Does anybody here own the DS3. If you do, can you confirm if its identical or not to the DS2 rumble.

There was previous promise of the DS3 having better rumble technology or 'touchsense'. But recent articles on the web say DS3 rumble = last gen DS2 rumble.

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gaming/playstation-3s-dualshock-3-tech-exactly-the-same-as-dualshock-2-tech-302545.php

Anybody can help to confirm what their saying is true? Sorry if this is old news.

Jeff getting the boot is not a rumour.

But it being purely because of Eidos might be. There might of been bad blood.
