40GB is a good starter size. But you'll want to get at least a 80GB HDD. But guess what? Those upgrade sizes will be hard to find and not worth it. So, you might as well upgrade to a 160GB and not worry about it. Want proof? 80GB HDD on Newegg costs $60.00 120GB HDD on Newegg costs $70.00 160GB HDD on Newegg costs $80.00 Twenty dollars more you get DOUBLE the space. Get the 40GB PS3. Then save up $80 (or less) and get the 160GB HDD.I know most will say wait, but I really do want the LE, mainly because I'm studying music composition and conceptual art, so I'm a sucker when it comes to video game music soundtracks, art books, and behind the scenes dvd/blu ray extras. On the topic of consoles, is 40 gigs enough? I understand 80 has bc, but to be honest I doubt I'll play any of my old PS2 games. But on my 360, I had to upgrade to a 120 gig harddrive because 20 wasn't cutting it. I have about 34 gigs used, but I have a lot of arcade games my cousin downloads, so that could be why. Thanks again for all have helped me. I really appreciate it.

Can anyone confirm the z5500 has multiple SPDIF inputs? I only saw one on the control panel thing, but I don't really know anything about it.ihaveabuI found this:
5.1 Surround is not the same thing as TrueHD or DTS-HD MA. You will be limited to Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toslink http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdmi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolby_TrueHD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Theater_System#DTS-HD_Master_Audio It's the Toslink that will limit your speakers. Not the PS3. But if Dolby 5.1 or DTS 5.1 is all you want. Sure, the optical to your z5500 is fine.i'm strongly considering getting the z5500 just cuz it has optical input, and it's a pretty awesome set of 5.1s
my questions for the z5500:
1. If I hook up the PS3 to it, will it be full 5.1 surround sound?
2. Can I hook up more than 1 device to the z5500 via optical? like my ps2
3. Can I just hook up the z5500 to the TV's optical out, and then use only the HDMI input of the PS3 and my Laptop to get full 5.1 surround on the z5500?
thanks

Don't you also think it is funny that Microsoft gets profit off of Sony laptops...
Microsoft gets profit off of Sony PC/laptops Sony gets profits off Microsoft from any future DL content from XBL (Music and movies). Sony gets profits off Microsoft from any Blu-ray licensing. Sony 2 Microsoft 1 Which company is more diversified? And which company needs Windows to sell more than their PC line? Bill Gates AM CRY
